The above article provides coverage of a case study of how Kaiser Permanente thrived through the evaluation of interest-based negotiations. According to Baldwin, the organization witnessed a massive increase in the number of employees due to the expansion of its previously existing facilities and partly through the new facilities establishment. It was made possible by implementing the innovative problem solving and strategies and negotiations to address important topics such as improvement of performance and integration of advanced technologies into the health care system. One of the tools incorporated into the system was interest-based negotiations. However, the research results conclude that there was an improved partnership between the unions of Kaiser. The above article introduces collaborative teamwork and the importance of marketing and negotiation skills in resolving conflict.
