The internet has turned the world into a small village. Other communists have also regarded the internet to have confined the whole world into a palm-touch i.e. at the press of a button. A good number of individuals in the world today largely depends on the internet for their daily lives. Practically, some use the internet to carry out absolutely all their daily activities like working, financing, paying of bills, homework, medical attention, weather forecasting and entertainments. Research is suggesting that Internet users may be more connected in groups than those who spend less time on the Internet.
How do you think the Internet has affected our participation in groups?
The internet has fundamentally affected our participation in groups in various ways. First, the internet has made communication amongst group members possible and more efficient and that we can now freely talk and converse (chat) with each and every group-member with a lot of ease. Lately since my friend and a group member bought a new phone, I realized that even though he was regarded as the laziest and un-serious group member, he has suddenly changed from the trend and his now actively contributing in the group discussions via our official whatsapp and facebook group. Precisely, the internet has effectively and efficiently improved our group participation.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Do you participate more in groups as a result of your Internet usage ? Yes. I greatly participate more in many online groups that am involved in majorly my study and church whatsapp and facebook groups.
Has the Internet helped you find a "tribe" to belong to as Seth Godin discusses in this week's TED talk?
Yes. The internet has significantly helped me find a “tribe” which I undoubtedly believe I belong to. First, I belong to the singing tribe especially the reggae music. I am a huge fun of Bob Marley who invented the Rastafarians tribe. I always follow the latest posts on reggae music in my twitter handle. I always have a hope that one day I will fully join the industry and produce my album. I also acknowledge and follow the CD-Baby tribe that was invented by Derek Sivers. I know with my determination I will also produce a reggae album as an independent musician. I am also deeply engraved into the fashion industry and I am a loyal fun of Tony Hsieh’s Zappos’ shoe company. I always ensure I am kept updated on the new and latest trends in the industry.
