The Soviet Union under my leadership has declared a Cold War against the United States of America following the events that transpired immediately after the end of Second World War. This war is highly fuelled by the tensions that emanated from the tensions of the Second World War aftermath. The most interesting part of this war is that our allies during the fight against the Axis powers have turned against us and they have now formed forces with our enemies to invade our country. There is enough intelligence information indicating that immediately after the Second World War, the US became keen on becoming the only superpower in spite of the efforts that the Soviet Union and Britain had put into this war. This seems to me like a raw deal for the Soviet Union and efforts are needed to counteract the US’ attempts (Jervis, 2012).
It was evident that during the World War II, military prowess was the key reason why our country and Allies nations were able to subdue Germany, Italy, and Japan. Our nation played a significant role that saw Japan suffering most with the atomic bombs being released at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As such, the Soviet Union is declaring the Cold War in an attempt to bar the US intention, under the leadership of Harry Truman, of wanting to impose itself as the only superpower country. The Soviet Union is intending to retaliate to the US move even if it means creating weapons of mass destruction which have the ability to destroy a large part of their country.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Since the Cold War is a product of WW II, the Soviet Union has come up with strategic ways to prevent a repeat of the same. We have already created a Cominform in the September of 1947 which would help this nation get a tighter grip on the European bloc just as the US has a grip on the Western Bloc (Lafeber, 2002). We have information that the US does not like the strides the Soviet Union is making in the global politics. The US thinks that the policy of containment will drain their resources as well as undermine their authority by encouraging rivalries in the capitalist nations. The US has even gone ahead to create a Department of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency to derail our effort in developing countries including the African continent. We are also aware of the US activities in Asia where they are producing hydrogen bombs with the assistance of NASA to threaten the Soviet supremacy. For instance, on October 4, 1957, we fired an ICBM as well as propelling a Sputnik into the orbit to contain the US nuclear weapons (Leffler & Westad, 2010). The Soviet Union has similarly expanded its operations into Czechoslovakia by launching a coup d'état. In short, the Soviet Union shall relentlessly counteract every move the US will make until we win this battle for supremacy.
