Question 2

Kantian's categorical imperative focuses mainly on the core practical philosophy and human behavior. Kant's categorical imperative has two formulations which state differently. The first lays out the objective conditions while the second one lays the subjective conditions. (Bishop, 2019). The focus on how human behavior when they have the freedom to choose between right and wrong when they are in a situation is the objective condition

Kant's idea on ethics is that the rules of behavior should be followed universally and that people should not be treated as a means to an end but as an end in themselves. (Rachels, 2019) Kant's categorical imperative says, act the way you would want people to act towards other people. According to the maxim that you wish other people to follow, follow it as if it was a universal law. It is a formulation that can be applied to human reasoning to determine what is right and wrong.

Abortion is wrong as it disrupts a natural process by killing the fetus or unborn baby. Many may argue that a fetus does not amount to anything as, but it is a human, as life begins at conception, and nobody has the right to take away it in the form of murder. Treat the fetus with dignity as they are innocent human beings. Treat them how you would want anybody else to treat them.

Many Christians condemn abortion as they also believe that God is the owner of life, and nobody is entitled to taking it away. Many countries consider abortion as a crime because the fetus has the right to life. Although sometimes, there are circumstances that force the fetus to be removed, when the mother's life is in danger, it is still unethical to end a life just to save another life.
