The study of human movement is known as kinesiology. It applies the latest research to improve on function, health and the well-being of people in all human populations and settings. To improve people's health, performance, and function, Kinesiologists work with health professionals, individuals, groups, and families by applying the principles of psychomotor behavior, anatomy, and physiology. These people aim at promoting the physical activity, workplace hygiene, and safety, prevention and management of disability, injury, chronic diseases thus improving the performance and health of beings. This help to reduce and prevent the hazards for some of the most common medical issues that affect humans such as diabetes and heart diseases. In turn, it cuts the risk associated with some types of cancer, heart attacks, high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s disease and mental conditions as well as treating of injuries thus building strong joints, bones and the whole body. Experts in this field can help people live longer healthy lives through exercise and physical activity.
These beings work with people of all ages, physical ability and level of function to assess, manage, and track to accomplish a broad range of health goals. This helps humans to improve their well-being across mental and physical parameters through improved exercise and movement, as such, they empower, affirm and assist injured clients to recover and return to their usual lives.

How movement heals
Movement helps me in metabolic activities, hormonal balance and cardiovascular responses to acute and constant physical activity. It controls the neural and behavioral mechanisms throughout the lifespan of an individual. This minimizes the chances of a person suffering from some chronic diseases and mental disorders.
Good life refers to living a healthy health. A balanced diet, regular exercise, the occupation, healthy living environment are the major contributing factors to good life. Physical exercise relaxes the body, mind, and soul; as such it helps to strengthen the joints and bones increasing flexibility. Greater flexibility contributes to fighting and prevents some of the mental and chronic diseases. For example, some types of cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, high blood pressure and heart attack.
Holism
The parts of a human being are interconnected, and none can work without the other. Therefore, for a person to be treated for a disease, the doctors must take into consideration the social and mental factors. It is advisable not only to deal with the physical symptoms of the disease because in this case, the health of the ill person also may not be recovered. These mental and social factors are determined by the human movement that will contribute to the general well-being of a person.
Issues with earlier attempts at defining holism and examples of these challenges
Some of the people who tried to define holism in the past believed that the behavior of humans could be explained when it is broken down into smaller components. To understand human behavior, these people suggested that the simplest parts that constitute the system in people should be carefully examined so as to know how they work. This argument is based on the parsimony assumption. Their supporters agreed that the behavior and mental process should be explained within the frameworks of physiology and chemistry.
Skinner, one of the behaviorists, emphasized that human behavior is as a consequence of experience. How people behave is determined by the relationship between stimuli and their responses. This poses a challenge since the complex behavior of humans is reduced to simple intervention and stimulus relationship. The biological approach to holistic view emphasizes that psychological problems are treatable with drugs, as they attribute mental illness as resulting from a chemical imbalance in the brain.
Psychologists explained behavior regarding genes, neurochemical and the structure of the brain. They focus on how and where a person lives, and they believe that this influences human behavior. Scientists argue that human behavior, when broken into simple parts, can be scientifically tested. These arguments lack validity.
These arguments do not explain why humans behave the way we do. For example, they say that human fear centers enable them to run from scary scenarios, but they fail to explain the source of the fear. The biology of mental disorder cannot be understood without an account to social factors that influence it. This is not fully explained in the early attempts to define holism. Interactionism focused on how different the levels of analysis interact. This approach does not try to understand human behavior at one level.
Depression being a mental disorder can be better understood by explanations from cognitive, socio- cultural and physiological levels. This approach is in a better position to explain the success of drug therapies used to cure this disorder as well as why depression is frequent in certain populations and why the patients think differently of themselves.
