Technology is a significant tool with immense impact on every aspect of how organizations transact business. It is the determinant of how people communicate, conduct business transactions and ensures the continuity of research, especially in different markets. Technology is the driving force behind the current new style of leadership and is employed at high management levels to ensure organizations have better leaders and leadership techniques.

First, technology offers employees more flexibility. In the current technological era, there is no need to staff all employees in the same building or office for a meeting or a particular task (Deevi, 2011). Different organizations are currently able to conduct meetings with employees and business partners from different parts of the world through internet conferencing. Companies are also able to monitor and communicate with their employees directly through software that was designed for that specific purpose.

Technology has made management of people and projects more effective and efficient. In the past, it was impossible to make essential decisions about companies and organizations in the absence of the CEO or manager. Often than not, the manager is on vacation or out of the office meant that crucial decision remained at a standstill. However, due to technology, the CEO and other managers can now make critical decisions concerning budgets, endorsements, and purchases from different parts of the globe using business software suites installed on their computers and phones (Kerzner, 2015).

Technology promoted the expansion of businesses to new markets by encouraging diversity. The language barrier has always been an obstacle for many companies seeking to expand to different parts of the world such as Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. However, the companies can now effectively open up new markets and communicate thanks to new translation tools that have been introduced due to technology. Technology has revolutionized the Human Resources (HR) Management. It is now possible to hire, train, certify and monitor employees thanks to technology (Dieng, 1998).

Objectives are defined as the goals that different organizations wish to achieve in a given time frame (M libraries, 2015). For the business to be successful, the management team is required to set realistic objectives which are measurable and can be obtained. The right tools and methods should be applied during leadership to achieve success in the business (M Libraries, 2015). Tools and techniques used to help companies make their objectives by motivating the company’s employees and giving the managers the reference they require for evaluation of the marketing actions (Dieng, 1998). These methods enable the company to scale its accomplishments in each level of the organization hence ensuring that the corporate objectives of the company are achieved. New knowledge calls for the change of the strategy initially employed by the leaders and the management of the company (Dieng, 1998). As a result of the shift in strategy, the previous tools and methods are replaced by new ones or better still reinforced to enable the organization to achieve its objectives.

Different ideas and arguments create room for improvement and innovation within an organization (Harvard Business School, 2007). It enables the leadership to focus on individual ideas proposed, and the arguments presented and weigh these against the counter-arguments. Each idea and argument influences the market and objectives of the organization differently. Leaders should, therefore, align themselves with the ideas and arguments that foster the organization’s innovation and brings out the significance of their leadership (Harvard Business School, 2007).
