The post gives the reader a good introduction to the concept of culture and climate from an organization's standpoint with the use of military operations as an example. The post also provides a suitable way by which the reader can differentiate the two concepts of culture and climate. For instance, the post relates culture to the environment and helps members recognize themselves as part of something more significant than themselves. On the other hand, the post presents climate as the one thing that affects members of the organization's motivation and trust in the unit leadership.

The argument from the post also describes the way climate and culture develop in the department of the army. For instance, army ethics are a set of rules, beliefs, and values within the army culture that guides army professionals and are essential when developing positive command culture and climate (Allen, 2015). The set of introduction developed in the posts gives a good basis and illustration of the way an individual Sargent major can create a positive culture and command climate. Leadership is a diverse topic but becoming a leader as proposed by trait theory depends on a person’s intelligence, creativity, people skills, capacity to motivate others, acceptance of responsibility, and courage among others.

The proposed approach shows an example of a good leader employing the trait theory of leadership as the SGM wishes to achieve a positive culture and command climate by employing negative changes to positive behavior which requires intelligence. Additionally, the demonstration of fairness, motivation, and creation of an inclusive environment is an example of a good leader, therefore, the proposed approach will be effective and will help the SGM to achieve the goal of creating positive culture and command climate.
