Leadership and management co-exist and are dependent on each other since leadership requires effective management, and to manage, one needs to possess excellent leadership skills. Effective leadership and management skills that positively impact an organization require the management to design an inspiring vision and actively motivate people to achieve their vision. Such will enable them to manage the vision's delivery and build a strong and effective team that will help transform the organization and its outlook.

Managers need to focus on the organization's strengths, which is achieved by conducting analyses of the current situation before making any decision on what strategy to use. By doing so, managers are well aware of their markets. Now, they can formulate different strategies and action plans that enable the `organization to penetrate various markets and navigate through barriers (Skripak et al., 2016). After developing the various strategies and actions, the organization needs to bring all the teams on board, which is where leadership skills are needed. Such is because leadership is a vital management function which helps in maximizing efficiency in achieving organizational goals.

Great leaders are said to have the ability to initiate action, motivate and guide their team to achieve the target goals. In the initiating stage, the managers need to communicate their plan very clearly for their response teams. Most successful start-ups and fortune 500 companies experience higher and more complex levels of delegation and decision-making (DuBrin, 2019) . There fore, managers communicate their visions and plans and delegate them to the able teams. However, having emotional intelligence will enable the managers to be aware of other emotions and others, which will help them avoid making irrational decisions that would negatively affect the organization. Therefore, emotional intelligence helps the managers put their feelings and opinions about a situation and approach it more logically and practically to drive change in the organization. Therefore, for any organization to be successful, both leadership traits and managerial skills play an essential role in driving change.
