Critical thinking is the process of analyzing and evaluating knowledge to direct beliefs or behavior in an organization. The process contains acquiring information and analyzing the information given to identify essential elements within the information. Critical thinking is applied by business leaders while recruiting and firing by researching and making difficult choices to make decisions. A leader must use logic to define, comprehend, evaluate, and solve issues while applying logical thinking in business, although Patience and preparation are required. The effective implementation of critical thinking also leads to more effective work processes. If communication refers to the substantive exchange of information in an organization, the engine that provides the definition is critical thinking ( Duncan et al., 2017). For business communication, recognizing a problem, and creating a clear description and solution is essential. 

Circumstances 

The circumstances resulted when communication was lost between the company and its plant in Western Nebraska. Alarms went off at the transportation warehouse, and a live video of smoke, which confirmed that they should notify the local police and fire departments. There was absolute chaos at the plant: explosions, and smashed windows, and bloodied employees inside crying for help. There were rumors that an employee was smoking in the shed, which might have been the cause of the fire.

The Problem that Resulted from the Circumstances 

The problem resulting from the circumstances is that the warehouse was destroyed through the explosion due to the fire outbreak, and employees were injured. There were different interpretations from the employees’ responses. Some employees thought the four missing employees from the warehouse might have started the fire and fled. The four employees who were missing were believed to have caused the fire because they were missing without permission from the managers. They were later told that two of the employees had been involved in an accident and were brought by the other two other employees to the hospital? Others thought that the shade outside the transportation warehouse caught on fire and spread to a wooden electrical pole, which ignited an above-ground natural gas line, which blew up. They believed the wooden electrical pole was the cause of the fire outbreak in the warehouse. 

Explanation 

Communication between the company and its plant in Western Nebraska was lost. It led to a lack of awareness of what was happening in the warehouse because all the communications channels had been lost. Otherwise, the management would have acted if they had known what was happening, and the warehouse would not have been blown up. However, communication was cut first to make sure people did not communicate with each other, which could have solved the issue because the employees could have notified the management and called the police before the fire started. 

Alarms went off at the transportation warehouse. It led to suspicion that the administration knew that there was a problem at the warehouse. It caused suspicion because it gave the employees a chance to evacuate the building to the outside. A live video of smoke confirmed a problem at the warehouse was detected, and this was a fire outbreak at the warehouse. 

At the warehouse, an explosion took place that smashed all the windows. It led to a lot of chaos at the warehouse leading to many employees getting injured and crying for help. It clearly showed that the warehouse was on fire. All this shows how the warehouse was destroyed. 

Information Analysis

In some instances, one or more new problems may be generated by your solution ( Van Aken & Berends, 2018).  In this case, the scenario was supposed to be analyzed as demanded by the boss, and the cause of the problem was established. The availability of data leads many leaders to believe that seeking solutions to complex problems requires only accurate information on the supposed immediate causes and the problem's negative consequences. For a complete investigation to be established, the time has shown success for those who hold a single point of view or viewpoint on an issue. Instead, one is supposed to widen the point of view and dig at and beyond the vast volumes of data currently available to identify the root cause to prevent these incidents from occurring in the future again. 

Focus on the right problem can be enhanced by making sure large amounts of data do not fool you. Problems are common and are all caused by different factors. To find a permanent solution, it is necessary to devote as much or more time to evaluate the data to collect it, which many leaders do not do. It would be best to dig below the surface to understand what highlights the problem. Attention should be widened when identifying the problem. When dealing with people, the idea of multiple viewpoints is relevant. Solving the issue of only one of the concerned leads typically to the stakeholders’ resistance. Therefore, an integrated strategy that takes into account the positions and objectives of all prominent individuals involved in complex problems should be planned. The problem’s boundaries should be identified. The next move is to eliminate all the variables that are not specifically relevant to the issue after you have obtained the data and considered the stakeholders. Factors should be identified, implications, and primary stakeholders. With these factors, reflection on the causes and possible solutions within the boundaries can be identified as well. The problem’s root causes and the potential consequences of the causes. Therefore, possible innovations can be analyzed. Potential routes are analyzed until the origin of the problem is well known. Predictions are also made on how the situation could develop in the future based on past and current trends and patterns. Using this process, the problem of the fire outbreak will be identified, and solutions to prevent a similar problem that might develop in the future decided. 

Analysis of Alternative Viewpoints, Conclusions, or Solutions 

Ethical decision-making and reasoning are ways of thinking about problems of right and wrong. It is possible to teach thought processes, and school is an apt place to guide them in making ethical decisions and reasoning one should state the problem. There are so many ways to lose; hence ethical thinking can be difficult. It is much more challenging to show ethical conduct that one would expect based on what we learn from education, parents, and our religious training. Hence some steps must be gone through for better ethical decisional-making and reasoning. Facts should be checked, for instance, facts about what might have caused the fire outbreak, the people involved, or the cause and the circumstances that lead to the problem. Relevant factors should be identified, both internal and external, that might have caused the fire outbreak. After the elements have been identified, a list of options is developed so that it can help to avoid the dilemma of what to decide and say. Therefore, if the dilemma is avoided, it will be easy to identify the cause of the fire outbreak by testing all the options thought to have been the cause of the fire outbreak. All the various tests should be considered to better confirm why the problem happened and what caused it ( Wood, 2019).  After taking all the tests, a choice is made based on the tests to decide the cause of the damages due to the fire outbreak. To better answer what caused the problem, the steps should be reviewed, and try to figure out how you can reduce the similarity that a similar decision can be made again. Therefore, the steps would have helped to detect the cause of the fire in the warehouse. 

Conclusion 

In conclusion, I think the fire outbreak resulted from a plan because all the steps to make sure people did not respond to the problem as fast as possible turned to be plausible that the fire was intentionally planned. Whoever was behind the fire outbreak made sure all the communications were lost, and the fire alarms were all cut off so that the response to the fire outbreak would be slow and that people would have the problem of reaching to each other to enquire what was happening. I recommend that all the employees be interviewed and identify the relationship between all the employees and the management team to identify the cause of the problem. The interviews will help determine if the relationship between the management and the employees was healthy or unhealthy.
