Leadership is a discipline which requires commitment, understanding, kindness, humility, patience, consistency, and proficiency. Therefore, it is important for an individual aspiring to be a leader to be conversant with the fundamental principles of leadership. Also, it is significant to understand the basics and policies governing the aspect of leadership in the institution or organization one is intending to take the mantle of leadership. Having the knowledge of effective leadership in a particular field is important has it will aid in the development of a well-established leadership strategy that meets the needs and accomplishes the mission of the underlying organization. For instance, in regard to leadership in the church it is apparent that there are several underlying principles that guide the development, nurturing, and the establishment of leadership scheme. The underlying principles in the Christian docket are love, modesty, correction, self-development, integrity, honesty, justice, following God’s will, and motivation. Therefore, in the process of coming up with a leadership strategy, it is important to put into consideration the underlying principles and fundamental aspects.

In the biblical perspective, it is apparent that leadership is synonymous with humbleness and humility. In his teachings, Jesus indicated that for anyone who is aspiring to be a leader he or she must be ready to be a servant. Therefore, it is important to put in place schemes that are geared towards instilling humility in individuals who we train to be leaders in the local church. Furthermore, it is important to factor in the aspect of various departments that are within the local church. This will aid in putting in place training and orientation schemes that are in line each discipline that is within the local church. In addition, it is imperative to undertake a keen evaluation of the leadership development strategy in order to determine its proficient and effectiveness. Therefore, it is important to establish a comprehensive strategy that captures all leadership aspect in the underlying field, organization or institution.

Philosophy of leadership development

In the church set up, there are several beliefs and values governing the aspect of leadership. It is perceived that leaders in the Christian set up are God’s representatives. Consequently, it important for leaders within the church set up to embrace values and dealings that are in line with the biblical perspectives. This is due to the fact that the Bible is the manual of Christians outlining the dos and don’ts in a Christian’s life. Hence, the teachings, values, standards, beliefs, and virtues outlined in the Bible forms the basic foundation for leadership strategies in the church. 1 Consequently, the scheme of that will be established will base its principles on the leadership guidelines and perspectives that are depicted in the Bible. The other underlying aspect of leadership is responsibility. A leader has to be responsible for performing his or her duties. Therefore, in the church set up, a leader has to understand the jurisdiction of his or her position as a leader. Each leadership position comes along with various responsibilities, hence the training session, orientation process, and integration of a leader are geared towards equipping him or hers with the expected response of his or her leadership docket. 

It is also apparent that moral authority is important within the church set up especially in the leadership docket. The biblical notion indicates that moral obligation is important among leaders as it will enhance the trust of believers towards the leadership discipline in the church. For instance, from the biblical perspective, Moses and Paul put emphasis on a moral obligation in respect to leadership. This cements the role of morality in the docket of leadership as it indicates that the underlying aspect boost and enhances leadership skills and proficiency. Also, it is important to note that leadership entails the capacity to attract people to follow in the set footsteps. Therefore, in the docket of leadership in the church, it is imperative for leaders to lead by example and have the drive to manipulate the mass to follow the teachings. In addition, the biblical perspective indicates that a Christian leader has to embrace a strong character and accept Jesus to shape his undertaking in order to be a committed leader in the church set up. Notably, humility and devotedness are emphasized in Christianity leadership “Jesus did not come to be served but to serve all.” 

Fundamental information in regard to leadership

There are various leaders that are required in the church set up. The leaders that are recognized and appreciated in a church organization are pastors, elders, priests, bishops, Sunday school teachers, leaders of church ministries, mission organizers, and seminary teachers. The styles that are deployed in the church organization are transformative, charismatic, servant, autocratic, and democratic leadership. Therefore, it is important for each leader to understand the demands of his leadership field in order to embrace the best strategy and leadership style in promoting efficient operations within the church. 2 To establish a strong foundation leadership scheme within the church requires; self and spiritual commitment, envision of objectives, mobilization of others, embracing teamwork, and instilling the aspect of progressive learning. Therefore, it is imperative that the development strategy that we adopt in the church set up to conform to all the factors, aspects, and standards that spell out the proficient and effective leadership scheme. 

From a biblical perspective, it is apparent that the church is geared towards continuing with the work winning souls to Jesus. Therefore, the leadership of the church should understand that their work is to instill unity, togetherness, and harmony within the church in order to attract outsiders and enhance faithfulness among believers. Therefore, the leadership principles dictate that leaders should lead from the front. In the church organization, it is important for a leader to use his influence rather than the authoritative perspective. This is due to the fact that influence is powerful in persuading the mass as opposed to the position of being authoritative. 3 Being a leader in the church set up means having the power to manipulate the mass to follow and support the directions and values of the church. Also, the underlying aspect is that the values, principles, and beliefs of the church should be based on the manual of Christianity, which is the Bible. 

Implementation of a comprehensive program

In order to have a successful leadership scheme within the church, it is imperative to have a well-established implementation scheme in regard to recruiting, training, and placement of leaders in the ministry. The implementation scheme should incorporate strategies that identify the background of individuals that are being accessed in order to be integrated into the ministry. This is due to the fact that information background will denote key aspects that will depict the eligibility of the persons that are being evaluated for undertaking the initiative of ministry activities in the church. In addition, it will aid in giving a clear indication of the orientation procedures an individual should undergo before being entrusted with ministry activities. In the Christian organization, an implementation scheme has to put into account all the aspects, principles, and standards that are in line with the biblical perspective of conducting activities within the Christian set up. 4 This will aid in coming up with a precise and comprehensive scheme. 

There are several key factors that will ensure the proficient implementation schemes are undertaken. To begin with, it is important to establish the best leadership style within the organization. Secondly, it is imperative to recognize present and future leaders within the organization and they must have the capacity to serve. Thirdly, the scheme has to be in a position to establish leadership gaps within the institution. Fourthly, it is significant to put in place progressive systems for critical roles. Also, it is important to determine vocation scheduling goals for prospective leaders. In addition, it is important to establish a clear roadmap for future leaders. Finally, it is important to establish retention schemes for existing and prospect leaders. The above state aspects are steps that are followed in the scheme of implementing a leadership development program that enhances proficient in the leadership docket. Following the underlying steps will aid in promoting a comprehensive implementation program within the church leadership set up. Furthermore, it is apparent that in the process of observing the steps of efficient implementation system it is important to keep in mind the underlying principles of the institution in order to incline the steps towards the levels and standards of the institution in question. 

A clear understanding of the underlying systems, steps, and levels that are important in the implementation programs will lead to proficient practical undertaking within the church institution with respect to leadership. It is important to conduct intensive conversations with members in order to establish individuals who have the character and skills to undertake ministry activities. Also, it is important to take the individuals identified through a comprehensive interview in order to shortlist the best candidates for the mission to be undertaken. The aspect of training is important within the leadership docket, as it equips individuals with the best strategies for undertaking leadership roles. Therefore, it is important to structure the train programs in a manner that they are inclined towards each leadership discipline in order to avoid conflict of interests. Furthermore, it is important to put in place schemes that appreciate existing leaders and make them feel important and part of the leadership docket with the aim of maintaining or retaining them. 

Progression and motivation

Sustainability is an important aspect in the docket of leadership development strategy; this is due to the fact that it will ensure long-term goals are put into consideration. Sustainability will often ensure that the leadership docket is not faced with the crisis of shortage. Therefore, it is important for us to integrate a development leadership strategy that is flexible and durable in order to make sure that it promotes progressiveness and ongoing process. Therefore, it is important to set up a department that will oversee the development scheme process in order to ensure that it is ever working and it is always structured in the best way possible to facilitate the best outcome. Training being an important phase of leadership implantation scheme it is important to ensure that it is always up-to-date and it operates constantly. Therefore, it is important to put in place a well-established system that will always detect updates that have to be incorporated into the training schemes. 5 Therefore, efficient, competence, proficient, and efficacy are important aspects in the development and implementation of leadership strategies. 

Motivation is an important aspect in the leadership docket, as it aids in keeping leaders grounded. Therefore, it is important to integrate the aspect of motivation in the church set up in order to get the best out of the leaders. Motivating leaders in the will push the leaders to accomplish their duties in a more proficient way, due to the fact that it will boost their morale. Therefore, it is important t put in place schemes that are geared towards enhancing constant motivation within the church institution. Consequently, it is important to integrate objectives and goals that motivate leaders within each department. In the church set up it is apparent that the mass is ever increasing, therefore it is important to ensure that there is a constant supply of new leaders into the leadership docket in order to meet the demands of the ever-rising church population. Therefore, it is important to build the capacity of training institution in order to absorb more individuals with the aim of producing more competent leaders in the church set up. also, it is important to create awareness in regard to the importance of undertaking leadership roles in the church in order to attract more individuals into the leadership docket. Therefore, it is important to put into consideration all factors, principles, values, norms, beliefs, and standards in the process of building a comprehensive leadership scheme in any field. Notably, leadership is a facilitating action, as it influences, and directs people and various activities in each sector or department.
