At Little Touch International, our goal is to provide community-based programs that seek to protect the population that suffers from social vulnerability. This category is of the members of the society who are exposed to risk factors thus endangering their very existence. In this case, the outreach Centre focuses on victims of domestic violence. Because domestic violence is a humiliating experience, many shy away from talking about it in the process of seeking help and continue to preserve the cruel treatments. Sad to note, some of these situations result in the painful loss of lives of its victims due to sustained injuries.
Based on this reality, Little Touch developed as a community-based program working closely with these victims to enlighten them of their rights and help them get out of these situations. Our treatment and intervention policy establish that domestic violence is a crime, safety for domestic violence victims is a priority, and changes in traditional services, including medical services, are vital in meeting the needs of DV victims (Stover, 2005). Based on this policy, our outreach Centre developed an intervention measure that includes familiarizing oneself with the magnitude of the problem, checkpoints on identifying abuse and violence through routine screening, assessing the impact of abuse and violence on patient's health and psychological being. Providing a platform on which victims of DV can explore their legal options; providing referral resources and links for secondary medical help, familiarizing oneself with the legal aspects of medical care, including filing reports; and working closely with the legal system to link up the victims with appropriate channels of legal action (Sartin, Hansen & Huss, 2006). It is based on these policies that we provide intervention and treatment measures for victims of domestic violence.

Part B
As an agency that supports and advocates for human rights, this program helps in emphasizing on the issue of equality and the well-being of the society. Equality and human rights is a vast topic and quite ambiguous in its primary form. But in narrowing down to one aspect of it, we can highlight the issues therein; bringing to light the challenges spouses face in domestic violence, the reasons why the issue has continued to be a hindrance to successful and happy unions, and what measures can be taken to correct the situation while at the same time saving on family ties and values. In the rolling of this program, families, and individuals that are conservative by nature might feel like an outside party has invaded their privacy. It may not be easy to opening up freely to the service providers. That is why the program highly advocates for confidentiality, as it helps boost confidence and trust in our systems. The critical fact here will be helping realize the clients that the information shared will be used solely for intervention purposes, and will not be shared by other parties unless they approve of it.
The program is a fully registered and certified operation, and as such abides by the rules and policies set by the various bodies that govern the safety of the community members. The service providers are highly trained and approved by the various respective boards, and cleared to practice in the field. After distributing the brochures, the team will rely on the feedback we receive to determine how effective the program would be. If we are to receive negative feedback or low feedback, in that case, it would mean that the community does not find our program useful, and as such we will invite them to raise their opinion on the kind of program they would appreciate. The primary challenge in developing the brochure was the struggle between ensuring that all the relevant information about the program is captured while at the same time ensuring the message is short and precise. We did not want a brochure that would not effectively sell our policy, just as much as we did not want one that would be too detailed and end up boring the target audience. Going forward, it would be significant if we did a summary of the message on a different sheet first, before selecting on the message to print out, to ensure all useful information is captured, in a precise manner.
