Mental health is a crucial issue in the healthcare system. Disorders resulting from mental health are serious illnesses that contribute to people suffering silently. More so, there is also a stigma associated with having a mental disorder. The society is not fully prepared in combating mental health (Stacey, 2020). Therefore, the government and several non-profit mental health organizations have to combine efforts and act upon this disorder. However, raising awareness and conducting discussions concerning mental health are the necessary steps towards eliminating stigma in society and tackling mental health issues (Stacey, 2020). Dealing with mental health problems, the local mental health board has been on the frontline, together with the non-profit mental health organization in that fight (Vesna & Pahor, 2016). Despite the scarcity of funds that boost the organization's activities, the local mental health board has been generous support to the organization—considering that 50% of bridge's budget comes from the local mental health board and also support the programs of bridge both non-residential and residential by 40% and 50% respectively. From the hallway case, 25 teens are sponsored by the board, which shows that the board also plays a great deal in good mental health while providing funds to the organization. One of the local mental health board goals is to ensure individuals who need mental care services get them effectively (CIBHS, 2016). Therefore, the board does this by providing that inpatients at the residential bridge facilities get appropriate care and live at the right time. The board also safeguards public funds by monitoring the activities of the organization (CIBHS, 2016). This is by controlling admissions and discharges in and out of the program and appointing volunteers to work in the program while providing help in conducting the organization's activities. Recommendation on the most efficient treatment and services is essential to the victims of mental disorder or substance abuse (Karlsson et al. 2012). Bridge through its facilities, advises, or gives recommendations to the board for better services for the patient.
