One strength of the organization is having approved business case and a method for identifying and tracking projects (Jorgensen, Bruehl & Franke, 2014). This strength ensures that there is a need for the projects to be done and that they can be monitored throughout the project. Another strength is that the organization understands the reasons why previous projects failed or succeeded. The understanding has enabled it to make some drastic changes that are geared towards ensuring that the current projects are successful. In terms of weaknesses, the organization is still short on leveraging skills for better change. There is no adequate building of change management skills that can be applied in all projects. Another weakness is that there is no enough technology to be used to effect change. The organization depends on the traditional methods to come up with change, and this poses a challenge to them.
The organization needs to improve on the use of technologies and the involvement of people to bring change. This will enable them to get accurate information and provide feedback that will be useful in the process of change ( Hayes, 2018). They also need to improve on the process of budgeting by including change in it. The budgets formulated need to include the aspect of change which will ensure that the organization plans itself accordingly. One change proposed in my organization is that of implementation of new technology. It is a complex change that requires time as people have to learn how to use the technology being implanted to avoid errors and mistakes ( Kelley, 2016). Therefore, I will ensure that I organize training sessions on the usage of technology. This will give the employees the chance to understand the complexity of the system and thus be able to operate wit with ease. The technology will also be linked to various sectors of organization which will ensure there is coordination and that errors can be easily be detected.
