Part one
My communication has changed tremendously from an intermediate communicator to a proficient communicator. This is due to the fact that in my communication lately, I have learned to use different tools and techniques of communication, therefore, getting my message across easily. This point to the fact that my communication has grown to fairly effective. In many cases when communicating I have led to use questions and rhetoric’s to get to know what my audience knows and thinks about the topic I am trying to communicate across. Additionally, I have mastered the skill of intonation changing, storytelling to paint a picture of what I am communicating across and the use of the figure of speech such as smiling or frowning to put an emotional input into communication. I have also learned that my body language is an important tool for communication, therefore, try to make my body language go hand in hand with the message I am communicating across.
Part two
I rarely present verbally to people, instead I usually try as much as possible to interact with the audience. This is to mean I try as much as possible to gain eye contact with my audience as this will increase intimacy and comfort when presenting. Secondly, I always make sure that I focus on the topic of discussion and use examples and stories that relate to the topic to avoid confusing my audience. Additionally, I keep refereeing to the topic of the day and making an emphasis to be able to achieve the rule of thumb. Again, I rarely speak in front of the groups. Due to this, when presenting to a group after attaining the proficient level of communication, I feel connecting with the audience is easy, feel comfortable and confident and above all, I feel that I communicate my message to the audience in an effective manner.
