As a youth who became a Nobel Prize winner and an education activist for women and girls, Malala Yousafzai is globally known for human rights advocacy. She primarily focuses on the issues affecting women and their access to education. In her quest to become an agent of change, Malala demonstrated various values that helped her achieve her desired goals. Malala showed values of peace and love towards other human beings, values that helped her to uphold justice, and advocate for education for both young girls and boys worldwide. She incorporated these values and encouraged individuals all over the world to promote peace, equality, and, more importantly, to help women achieve their goals of education.

Malala thus reminded individuals globally that peace is necessary for education by asserting that conflicts, violence and terrorism hinder youngsters from receiving education (Yousafzai, 2013) . As Malala asserts, people only realize the significance of their voices at times when they are silenced. Often, it turns out easy to raise a voice amidst freedom, especially when safety is guaranteed (Gall, 2018) . Malala thus reminds us of the existence of millions of women and girls with no such luxury, and so if we can, we must do everything in our power to put our voices to use to ensure that people who are quietened can be heard.
Be determined
No matter the circumstances surrounding her, not at any time did Malala waver from her dedication to education for all children. Even though we may feel frustrated when change comes gradually, Malala demonstrates to us the worth of having conviction and being dedicated.
Be brave
The story of Malala is one that incites immense courage. As an individual, she incessantly fought for what she knew to be true even when faced with many obstacles that many individuals could hardly phantom. Malala stood up repeatedly against threats and violence. The bravery she showed thus acts as an encouragement to us to forever be bold while her continued repudiations to give in to fear shows us that we ought do the same when faced with issues of conflicts and violence.

If people feel that we are telling things that we truly believe in, then they will likely be less skeptical of our interactions. Therefore we have to see for ourselves how others see us by leading by example (Oldenquist, 1980) . To set positive examples for others, we have to start with ourselves and make certain that the thongs we want to change are those we do effectively. It is thus crucial to first achieve the goals that we want other people to emulate. By taking the initiative, our actions will point to the direction we want others to follow.
How ordinary citizens can become extraordinary moral agents of change
To become extraordinary moral agents of change. As citizens, we need to regard the community we live in as our own. In doing so, we will be ill-disposed to neglect, vandalize, or even prey upon our very own community (Oldenquist, 1980) . In doing so, we will have the ability to nurture a sense of possession. We will have the sense to achieve a common good for all members of society by condemning all acts of violence and advocating for peace and justice for all.
