If I were female, there would be no need for me to behave differently when managing all-male leadership groups. This is because desirable leadership is about positively influencing people, regardless of their gender and their positions ( Burke, Robert & Friedman, 2011) . Acting differently because of gender disparities will derail me from implementing the objectives that are meant to.
If I were male, there would be no reason for a woman to act differently in managing a relationship with me. This is because all human beings have the potential to take up different roles and deliver. Requiring a woman to act in a certain way will limit them and influence them to act against their will and the expectations of the organization they work for or the general public. This, hence, will render them less productive.

Although Dr. Gerberding expressed discrimination based on her decision to pursue a course that is mostly dominated by men and one that was not considered as a science by the administration, I highly believe that it did not influence her relationship with his male colleagues at work. I believe she managed her relationship with the all-male group, and her decisions in implementing the objectives of the entity were based on her experience in this field and had nothing to do with her previous encounters. She must have believed that with the experience she had, she was doing the right thing, even without agreeing with the rest of the employees.
Effective communication is instrumental in ensuring understanding between employees and ensuring success in an organization ( Burke, Robert & Friedman, 2011) .The most effective communication plan to be employed so as to contain discontent among the employees would be regular meetings involving all the leaders to discuss the way forward in the implementation of the organization’s strategic plans. In the meetings, all the leaders should always be there and be allowed to air their views before a major move is taken. Although all the employees should be allowed to act autonomously to influence positive change within the organization, decision making should be unanimous, and when not possible, the majority should have their way.
