The group has learned many concepts in management. Management is the practice of organizing, planning, controlling, coordinating and directing the goings-on of business establishments. Management also refers to the technique of decision making, coordinating and leadership. There are three most important concepts learned in management; motivation, expectations and flexibility. A good manager should be able to motivate his or her staff and keep their morale high. He or should be able to bring out best from every member of the staff. Good managers also know how to keep the expectations of their business enterprises. A good manager should not have too low expectations or expectations that are too high. The expectations should also be realistic. Indeed, a good manager know how the expectations of any given company can be accomplished. A great manager must also be flexible. Rigidity is a big weakness and it is only through flexibility that one is able to adopt new ideas. A flexible manager knows the kind of risks to take and which ideas to incorporate in the business enterprise.
The DBA program has presented many challenges. However, oral defense is arguably the strongest challenge among the many challenges faced under the DBA program. The main reason why oral defense is the toughest challenge is because it entirely depends on how you present it and the panel listening to it. The questions from the examining committee are also critical. How you answer such questions can determine whether you excel or not in your oral defense. However, one can excel in an oral defense by maintain clarity and sticking to the points. In my dissertation paper, I will focus on ‘insurance and the Hospital Setting’. I chose the topic because it is very interesting and captivating. The topic is also relevant to the present day. Indeed, healthy insurance is on a growth trajectory and quite promising.
