Work-related injuries and accidents are likely to occur in any organization. Also, there are threats posed by active shooters that could be considered as terrorist threats. Therefore, it is important to establish an emergency response department or group to intervene shall incidences arise. It will be handy to have well-trained team members with versatile knowledge in first aid and CPR procedures. The move will boost morale and improve productivity at the workplace. It will also help employees build capacity at the first line to foresee and prevent a likelihood of work-related accidents ( Anthony, 2015) . It leads to a great corporate culture and improves the company's reputation within the community for implementing safety procedures.
The objective is to facilitate safety at work and enhance awareness of likely hazards, and the goal is to develop procedures and frameworks to prevent work-related injuries and promote safety. The program will involve establishing an emergency response team that will respond to emergencies at work, assess injuries, coordinate with external emergency caregivers, and disseminate briefings and education on new safety protocols. The program will also develop recommendations on preventing incidences in the future by providing assessment reports to ensure that measures are effective and up-to-date. Productivity assessments will also be significant for the evaluation of the program.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The cradle to grave concept will ensure that safety designs and concepts are well implemented up to the end. The department will risk assessment, identify the resources, areas of vulnerability, and draw the requirements that should be in place to mitigate the potential risks. The concept design will consider the system requirements for a robust approach. If necessary, computer models will simulate the concept design, and modifications will apply (Dearsly, 2015) . If I was tasked with this role, I could evaluate the past risk assessments, and I could then do a presentation for top executives laying bare the findings and my suggested plan of action. My conceptual plan could protect all workers and company properties, and also reward outstanding team members. Once the executives give their views, I could incorporate them and forward the plan for approval, paving the way for cost-effectiveness assessment and implementation.
