Mental Illnesses: Causes, Symptoms, and Treatment

Mental illness is a health issue which calls for uttermost care and attention to deal with. For nurses and other healthcare service providers to effectively deal with this issue, then the government needs to fully finance all the medications involved in dealing with mental illness. This initiative will ensure that all victims of mental illness receive quality medical care nationwide. The aspect of service quality also needs to be taken into consideration. The government should allocate enough funds to aid in purchasing the necessary machines and medication to deal with mental illness (Kilbourne et al., 2018). Each case of mental illness reported needs to be dealt with appropriately using the right machines and medication to ensure full recovery of the patients. Quality healthcare services in any healthcare facility cannot be realized if the right personnel are not available. The government needs to ensure that the kind of training that the healthcare service providers get is of the best quality. This can be realized through ensuring that quality is observed during their training and attachment periods. The government, in addressing clinical aspect, should ensure that all healthcare service providers are well taken care of through good payment and friendly working environments. 

The financial aspect in the health sector will greatly ease the burden of medical cost to mental illness victims if it’s fully implemented. Most patients are unable to access quality medical care due to financial incapacitation. Therefore, if the government responds by funding their treatment, most illness cases will be dealt with. The fight against mental illness will also be backed up directly if the quality of health service provision is improved by the government through healthcare service providers. This will go along with ensuring that the welfare of the medical team is well catered for. All these proposals will go a long way to ensure that the best and timely medical support is given to the mental illness victims across the country.
