Metastasis is a multistep process triggered by overexpression of the cell-secreted proteolytic enzymes. We can regulate the process by a breakthrough in cancer therapy. The metastatic processes include local infiltration of tumor cells into adjacent tissues, migration into intravasation vessels, survival in the circulatory system and proliferation. Angiogenesis, the second step, takes more energy than the other steps. During migration, growth, and differentiation of the endothelial cells, new blood vessels are formed. Additionally, the chemical signals (angiogenesis inhibitors) control this process and may help in the repair of damages vessels during migration and growth.

Lymphocytes are one of the most important cell types of the immune cells. The lymphocytes play a crucial role in determining a specific immune response for infectious organisms or foreign invaders. They are divided into two main types, that is, the B and T cells. The B-lymphocytes facilitates the production of antibodies, which are essential in identifying foreign invaders. The T-lymphocytes help in organizing and responding to antigens. They also regulate the immune responses. The lymphocytes also differentiate into Natural killer cells (NK) that kill or damage the infected cells. These are the essential cells in the innate immunity since B and T cells only take part in the adaptive immunity.

The immune system is divided into two parts, the innate immune system and the adaptive immune system. Immune cells play a different but incredibly good job in defending the body against diseases and other risks. However, the innate immune system is the most vital considering the complexity, time span, and inheritance. The defense mechanisms come to play an antigen immediately appears in the body. Unlike in the adaptive immune system where antigens are processed, organized to create the defense mechanism. Moreover, most importantly, the innate immunity is inherited from parents and passed down to offerings and fights any foreign invader; it does not necessarily focus on specific infections.
