After the research has been conducted and the Results from the EBP project will be communicated both internally and externally. Dissemination of research findings is essential as it aids in the translation of the gained research knowledge into practice (McCormack et al., 2013). Results will be conducted internally through the facility’s board meeting, where board members will be notified of the research findings. The board members will be allowed to add their inputs and comments concerning the project results after which the results will be communicated externally through a policy brief. A policy brief disseminates information and findings from a research study to a non-specialized audience. Nurses’ shortage, is a problem that is crippling the entire healthcare system. The policy brief will, therefore, provide policymakers with the relevant information, as well as the specific strategies covered within the EBP project, which can address the problem associated with nursing shortages within the healthcare system (Wilson, Petticrew, Calnan, & Nazareth, 2010).

External and internal communication of project results is crucial because they enlighten people within the organization as well as those outside the organization. Disseminating results internally will provide the administrators with the necessary information as well as evidence that is required for the improvement of nurses’ working conditions. External dissemination, on the other hand, will provide policymakers with evidence-based results showing the need to set regulations that can improve the working conditions of nurses throughout the healthcare system. The strategy for internal communication will be verbal, whereas the strategy for external communication will be nonverbal (written form). The change in communication strategies will be due to the different attributes of each audience. For instance, the board members of the organization will be within reach and hence verbal communication strategy will be used. To reach the policymakers, however, a well-written policy brief will be more suitable (Edwards, 2015).
