The Basic Leadership Course offered me a great deal of insight into the various ways to approach responsibility and duty, not just in my profession but also in private life. The course was tailored in a way that enhanced my understanding of the dynamics of leadership and the conceptual applications therein that I needed to improve my principles as a leader. Interestingly, I learnt of how broad the concept of leadership extends and its depth towards making one an influential figure in the position that they occupy in an organization. For the most part, I have always leaned towards the notion that leaders are born but following the lessons from the course, I can now accurately conclude that indeed it is a concept that can be developed and nurtured. Thus the subsequent sections will reflect in detail the lessons that I learned from the course and how they have helped to shape my idea of leadership as it applies to my personal life and professional career.

To begin with, this course taught me a great deal of how to be a leader. Unlike in the earlier days when the majority of the training courses focused on teaching one on how to apply leadership principles, the Basic Leadership Course offered new insight of personal development thus becomes a better a leader. Through this approach suggested in the course, I learned new ways to understand ways to apply leadership not just to others but also to myself. In retrospect, it was an opportunity that helped my understanding of leadership as a muscle to be exercised not only for others but also for myself. The various principles of leadership that became of great importance in this context were the role of personal character in the military leadership positions. At all times, it is essential to ensure one's character reflects the ideals that one preaches in their position of leadership(McEnery, 2017). In brief, the art of being a leader incorporates strategies that build one's understanding of how their leadership principles apply to them and those that they lead. Also, the course helped to elaborate on my understanding of the character traits that are important to the leadership, including intellect, presence and achiever habits and personal development. Conceptually, each of these leadership traits was carefully evaluated in a manner that enhanced my understanding of the role that each plays in making one a better leader. For example, the concept of the presence of presence, though not a new phenomenon in the military intelligence and leadership in the course of this course it became evident to me that it was a crucial part of the efficiency paradigm that makes career officers. It was an essential part of how the whole community of leaders worked to ensure that all the persons they lead committed to their common goal and objective(McEnery, 2017). Other character traits such as intellect helped to ensure that I was able to develop a personal connection to my cognitive abilities and how to apply them. In real life, the mind of the leader must adopt such philosophies key to the way that enhances their character(McEnery, 2017). Ever since the training, I think now I understand the importance of combining the three character traits, which is a critical aspect of the greatest leaders.

To conclude, the course opened my phenomenological understanding of the way that concept of military leadership helps to improve their leadership process through masterly of its fundamental principles. Arguably, this reflection captures the various elements of the course in the way that they each contributes to my higher understanding of the leadership, its role, and the way to improve it.

Essay 2: NCO 2020 Strategy using Personal Experience and Future Leadership Expectations

The NCO (Non-Commissioned Strategy) 2020 is one of the most fundamental aspects of life that helps to improve the way that an Officer implements Mission Command. In essence, it a stepping stone into the way one uses the attributes of critical thinking, problem-solving and communication in battle preparedness. To this end, this essay describes the NCO strategy using my personal experience and the future ambitions of my career in the military. Arguably, explore the aspects Personal Development, Management of individual Talents and Professional Stewardship that has helped to further the understanding the concept of personal experience.

The NCO 202O strategy involves the various training strategies that an individual uses to attain high levels of competency in the military. The extent of these competencies is not limited to a specific procedural approach but rather a combination of several attributes aforementioned above. The first NCO strategy that applies to one in the military service is the leadership principles that one applies towards shaping their qualities as a leader to grow their influence on the junior officers("NCO common core competencies (NCO-C3)," 2019). The strategy includes the use of such strategies that are of considerable significance to the way that an individual interacts with their junior officers, including inspiring the junior officers in the direction of a particular form of change.

For the strategy, it has been very important in the way that I have built my relationship with other officers. In retrospect, I have ensured to undertake such steps that ensure that I am always present for consultation by the junior officers. More so, I must ensure that the communication between them and me is open based on the attributes on mutual respect. The approach is arguably the best strategy that I apply towards ensuring that not only do they always stay ready for battlefield deployment but also ensures that the communication between the team is very fluid that guarantees optimum performance in the battlefield. Primarily, the approach that one uses reflects the level of competency that their team exhibits on the battlefield.

The second NOCO strategy that has been of great significance is the management and professional stewardship, both of which have been of great importance to the growth of my career. Arguably, I possess masterly of skills that involve team management and in distress, I have in the past led my team to take a radical shift in the tactical approach resulting in an effective counter-attack. Notably, the management of the talents of people has positioned me as a very effective professional steward, both which is crucial tenets of the NOCO 2020 strategy. In retrospect, the ability of an individual to respond to specific conditions of distress is essential towards increasing their battle response levels. Thus, through the management of the talents of each of the team members and offering professional guidance, in times of distress, the team effectively plans and implements tactical attacks with high success.

To conclude, NOCO 2020 strategy is a set of strategic approaches taught to all military officers to improve their ability to personal development, management of talent and stewardship. Collectively, all three aspects fundamentally increase the preparedness levels of the military leader and his ability to grow their career within a short period of time. Arguably, as the above discussions indicate, that approach is an army leadership concept that harmoniously increases the level of expertise to attain expertise of the servicemen and their ranking officers.
