Operations

Operations of business include its location, people, processes, equipment and the surrounding environment ( Barrow et al., 2012). Mr. Samuel Non-Alcoholic Beverage (NAB) Company will be in my residential area which will be 100 miles from the geographical area address. The business will target the residential customers within the region. The reason for this location is because there are less entrepreneurs in the area which will provide an opportunity for competition. This ideal demographic locality will have proximity to the road network to easy transportation.

Other factors that will govern my location decision is nearness to the raw materials. The suppliers for the company have a history of reliability which guarantees that they will provide the input at the right time and quantity. Cheaper renting land and property will aid in proper resources allocation. High population in the area will offer a high chance for recruitment of qualified staff. The legal requirements of the government is to provide employment to jobless individuals. By opening this firm, there will be employment for several people which will help reduce unemployment.

There will be a Chief Executive Officer, information technology expert, designer and another supporting team. The production will involve non-alcoholic beverages. The firm will have a beverage filling machine which will be attainable from Italy. The tool will be necessary for the production of hot or cold tea, fruit juice, and other beverages. These drinks will be free from artificial sweeteners and other ingredients that are harmful to nature to the health of individuals. Since these commodities will be natural, consumers will prefer them. The choice of specific machine is that it has combined efforts for cleaning, filling and capping and has a thermal regulatory device.

Another machinery usable in the firm will be two bottling machinery which will aid in capping and filling the bottle. Vans, computers and graphics software will also be essential for the production process. Again, there is renting of printers and the labeling machines. The inventory will include metal caps, cardboard cartons, glass bottle, and NAB-ingredients.

Technology

The company will use analytical process techniques that will help in designing, evaluating and managing manufacturing processes by measuring the critical control parameters of different products. Since fruit juices have high sensory and nutritional properties such as vitamins and minerals, it will be essential to be careful with freshness, consistency , and quality beverages production ( Davis et al., 2018). This technology is known for its capabilities in ensuring efficient manufacturing, high process validation, reduced cost of operation and improved output in term of safety and quality.

Similarly, with the help of beverage filling machines and its capabilities, it will be easier to fill the bottle faster and present them to the customers through four-panel vans. By the help of three Apple Macintosh computers and graphics software which are up-to-date, data analysis will be achievable and better. This data will aid in determination of whether the company is making profit or loss. Through regular technological advancement, the company will be able to rebrand and advertise its products to diverse clients which will increase sale thus returns. The technology will help the firm to become green through recycling of the bottles hence environmental conservation.

Management

NAB Company will be managed based on the objectives and goals and it will hire a workforce of five people to assist with the firm’s activities such as planning, manufacturing, organizing, and sales and distribution. It will require little supervision for proper operation. I’m the most essential member of the management team and I graduated from Strayer University where I was pursing MBA degree. The skills I obtained will aid in becoming an efficient president of the company where I plan to run it for five years where I have collected $20,000 from relatives and friends and planning to return the fund at the end of this year at no interest but in the second year I will refund at an interest of 5%.

Stephen Job will be a good computer expert in the organization who will take 20 hours per week as part timer to work and will earn an income $10 per hour. Melinda Cates Who owns the NAB patent will work as a creator and master mixer. She will also contribute her inheritance of $40,000 to be part of the capital. Ian Glass who was a foreman in the PepsiCo hence has excellent skills and experiences about the business venture and will volunteer to aid in planning before the company stabilizes. Mary Cates who also has experience as a senior executive will also take part in the plan. This management team will work effectively to meet the demand of consumers and also to compete favorably with rivals such as Coca-Cola and Pepsi ( Leschke, 2013).

Company Organization

The NAB Company will have a structure that is hierarchical. The management team of the company will help supervise and operate the business. There will be a distribution of the business functions among employees at vertical aspect. Power will be delegated using a top-bottom mechanism. The board of director will consist of Melinda and me who will be the shareholder of the organization. This board will provide the decision and ensure control of affairs and the overall supervision of the enterprise. It will aim at making products accessible to clients through its internet connections. It will cater for various needs of customers, and they include fast services, later night services, and high-quality products of affordable cost.
