Integration of healthcare IT and digital health tools is critical in identification of new illnesses, improving quality of life and minimization of total healthcare cost by trimming bills for providers and patients. Federal, state and regulatory agencies such as the Centers for Mediate and Medicaid (CMC) establish policies and guidelines that regulate advancements such as healthcare digitisation. The study summarises 3 articles that supports need for active uptake of digitisation in healthcare sector.

Article one on Enterprise Resource Planning System: Digitisation of Healthcare Service Quality by Fiaz and IIyas evaluates the perception of healthcare professionals towards digitisation of healthcare in improving quality of services in healthcare centers. The study employed collected and sampled data from 279 medical professionals through self-administered questionnaires ( Fiaz, Ikram & Ilyas, 2018) . The findings explain that digital innovations in healthcare promote participatory approaches and exhibit equity in healthcare. Conclusively, e-health initiatives supported by digital development in healthcare leverage on sustained efficiency and effectiveness of digital healthcare innovations hence enabling realisation of technological solutions and anticipated healthcare objectives. Thus, digitisation provides an added value ultimately improving medial/patient care.
