Negotiation and conflict resolution has been the hot topic in the recent discussion and research studies conducted globally. Researchers and leaders are struggling to understand the best method of addressing conflicts experienced in organizations. Conflicts affect the teamwork established by staff working together as well as the performance of the organization. Conflicts are experienced in places where a group of people is working; studying or living together. It is important to have a well-structured method of negotiation and resolving such conflicts (Honeyman, Kaufman, & Schneider, 2017). In this essay, I will offer a plan of an activity aimed at addressing negotiation and conflict resolution in an organization. The plan will have an introduction, body, and the conclusion. As per my plan, the activity will take six hours after which all the points will have been exhausted and conclusion made. The introduction will take one hour where the members of the meeting are taken through on the contents to be discussed regarding the necessary steps followed during negotiation and conflict resolution. Groupthink will not only affect the decision-making process but also the performance of the organization.
The main body of the plan will take four hours, as it will involve the discussion of the entire contents. The plan will focus on the leaders who will implement the activity in their respective departments after understanding the plan of the activity. It is important to address conflicts immediately when they arise before escalating to advanced stages and causing major problems in the organization. A committee should be developed among the employees whom will be responsible for addressing any conflicts arising among them in their workplaces (Lewin & Gollan, 2018). The selected individuals forming the committee will be responsible for proposing and agreeing on the punishments offered to staff responsible for conflicts. Such a committee will save the time that would be wasted presenting such conflicts to the management as well as the burden of such conflicts. The leaders, organization and the staff should support the committees such that they can succeed in their respective duties.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The conclusion part will take one hour. The last part of the activity will be summarizing the main points from the main discussion and recommending different ways of evaluating the activity. It is not easy to address conflicts in an organization, but collaboration among leaders, organization, and staff will help to address the issue (Honeyman, Kaufman, & Schneider, 2017). Evaluating the success of the activity will be a continuous process as the activity is implemented. One of the evaluation techniques is observing the process of addressing such conflicts by the committees in various departments. The approach used in addressing negotiations and conflicts will enable the leader to evaluate the activity, and the need for any follow-up activity.
