Literature Review is a critical part of a research study. The purpose of the literature review is to analyze a topic from the perspective of other scholars in the field. It tends to analyzes some of the aspects of the topic that other scholars have looked at and how they understood the topic ( Snyder, 2019). Therefore, the literature review in research aims to pinpoint the gap that exists in the literature that a research study seeks to fulfill in research. Thus, the literature review should not appear at the face value of the research project in question because the literature review does justify any value of a research study or a project.
The face value of research or project highlights the actual data or the topic that the study or project entails to prove or disapprove. Therefore, this is the point where the research or project deals with facts or findings from the entire process. Thus, the literature review is not viable at this point because the literature review does not prove or validate the research study in any way ( Snyder, 2019). The literature review only underlines how other authors look at the research and other findings on the topic that exists in the field ( Snyder, 2019). The aim of the literature review should be to critique the different research findings on the topic but not in any way, validate the results. Therefore, the literature review should prove the need for the research bit not supporting the research.
