This paper provides a brief analysis of ‘North and South Korea great peace’ event. This is an issue of global concern that continues to elicit debate. The articles reports on significant breakthrough between North and South Korea followed a diplomatic breakthrough after days of talks between the two countries. These talks have led to joint sporting events between the two adversaries and commitment of leaders to work towards long lasting peace (Jeong & Griffins, 2018). Even though these developments are promising, there are still many challenges towards realization of peace and unity in Korean Peninsula.
The two adversary countries have been at loggerheads for many years after the Korean War in 1953. This is a positive step towards a ‘nuclear free Korean’ and this development is expected to slow down hostilities that were building between North Korea and United States. Following the talks, North Korea leader Kim promised to shut down the main nuclear test site in the month of May. The two leaders also promised to work with his formally end the Korean War and also get rid of nuclear weapons from the region for peaceful co-existence and unity (Meredith, 2018).

Even though these developments have earned praise from different quarters for slowing down tensions in the regions, there are still concerns about the intentions of North Korea (San-Hung, 2018). World war and use of nuclear weapons is unethical and this event is a positive state towards having a peaceful regions and the world at large. Therefore, any step aimed at solving nuclear issue is welcome because it is ethical and morally accepted. It is the prayers of concerned stakeholders help to build a long lasting peace in the region by denuclearize the region.
