NorthBay Healthcare is an agency in Fairfield which was started to provide all kind of health services in upper area of Solano County. I have chosen NorthBay healthcare since it was established as a non-profit making community-based health facility and which has existed for a long time. More so, I have chosen this health center since it was started by a community to provide health services to the locals of Solano County.
NorthBay healthcare was established in the year 1956 from an initiative of community leaders from Fairfield and others from the Vacaville area. These leaders organized a fund drive to execute this project which was to provide health services to families within the upper part of Solano County. The mission of this facility is compassionate care and advanced medicine that is close to the homes of the residents.

The target population of this facility is the people of the upper part of Solano County especially those located within Vacaville and Fairfield city. Besides, this healthcare offers different services and programs ranging from primary care, cancer treatments, emergency care, orthopedics, neuroscience, and heart and vascular care among other medical services. Additionally, it offers women-tailored health services such as maternity among other specialized care.
NorthBay being a community-based health organization provides care to all the people within its jurisdiction without any discrimination. What interested me with this facility is the provision of sophisticated healthcare services that are not common to other hospitals in other counties. These services range from open-heart surgery, cancer treatment, oncology and specialized maternal care. More so, as a professional nurse, this healthcare with advanced facilities to perform complicated operations such as screening and machines in the theatre rooms. Therefore, this facility provides the best services as compared to healthcare clinics within Solano County and beyond.
