By taking part in different activities in this course, we as nurses have understood better the application of technology in healthcare. We have come to understand what informatics means to our role in hospitals, and how the informatics is critical for both nursing and non-nursing science in healthcare. Additionally, It is through different activities, assignments, and practical's in this course that we have come to understand some legal aspects of the application of technology and informatics in a nursing role in a healthcare setting. Understanding the legal aspect of this matter is critical in a better application of technology in nursing practice while minimizing legal issues that sometimes arise in this situation. Our presentation and assignments based on the informatics also gave us a glimpse of the values and some professional developments. The information also shows how nurses’ roles, competencies, and skills help them to beneficially integrate informatics into nursing practices to delivering quality care in a healthcare setting.
