Management entails efficiently conducting the administration duties which accrue to organizations. It encompasses strategy development and efforts coordination to attain specific objectives. Furthermore, management provides an avenue efficiently using available resources in align with set targets (Noe, Hollenbeck, Gerhart & Wright, 2017). In nursing, management’s processes entail patient supervision as they acquire the necessary treatment. The leadership provided by nurses establishes strong links between practitioners operating at board level and specified clinical practices. Furthermore, nursing management necessary the performance of duties such as staffing, overseeing a unit’s daily operations, budgeting, complain investigations and successfully implementing educational programs. 

Fundamentally, management involves four distinct steps, as indicated by the diagram above. The processes which must prevail continuously include controlling, planning, leading as well as organizing (Kukreja, n.d.). Planning comprises of making predictions which underscore the possible future trends. As a result, it facilitates processes relating to decision-making. It also entails the formulation of goals and appropriate strategies for their achievement.

In comparison, organizing functions involves effectively coordinating resources and designating specific roles to employees. However, the activities undertaken must align with company objectives. Nurses must offer leadership. It involves using an individual's influence to facilitate the collaboration of skills to achieve a specific purpose. The duties performed by nurses encompass control functions. It involves measuring performance and conducting comparisons with respect to the standards established. Such actions must lead to initiatives which correct any apparent deviations. 

Nurses must perform management functions which relate to creating a healthy environment characterized by safety. Besides, their role facilitates active patient engagement ensuring that team members in a healthcare facility achieve the set objectives. Thus, their role in management facilitates the attainment of optimal outcomes relating to 'patients' well-being. Nurses responsible for overseeing management duties develop educational and treatment plans. Moreover, they also develop patient discharge procedures which align with a medical facility's policies.
