In the field of nursing, safety is of paramount importance to both the patient as well as the healthcare providers. Evidence-based research indicates that safety in nursing ends up enhancing patient health outcomes. For instance, the nurses ensure that such patients are not exposed to extra risks. As a result, they do not end up having accidents or contracting new diseases while under admission due to the negligence of nurses, family or other patients who get into contact with them. As a result, their rate of recovery is enhanced. 

In the field of nursing, patient safety refers to the prevention of harm to patients. This goal is attained through following the standard and best practice and procedures in the process of care delivery. Use of the right medical procedures and intervention equally enhances care delivery among the patients. Continuous hazards assessment and risk mitigation ensures that as soon as new risks are identified, they are mitigated. Chances of recovery among the patients are enhanced. It is thus of no doubt that safety in nursing is a key source of desired outcome realization.

In regards to nurses, ensuring the safety of such health care personnel ensures that they do not end up contacting diseases from the patients. Equally, it ensures that they are not involved in accidents that are likely to compromise their ability to deliver care to the patients. As a result, they are able to deliver care to the patients within the confines of sound nursing practices and ethics. Continued care delivery to such patients, on the other hand, ensures that the desired goal and obligations are realized. 

In conclusion, safety in nursing ensures that patients are protected from potential harm and new illnesses. It also ensures that the health of nurses is also maintained. Through such processes, nurses’ ability to provide care and the overall patient health outcomes are realized.
