A parabola is u in shape. Parabolas are rare in the real world. On my normal active day on duty, I usually work on various shows, and my example of a parabola is one created by the Airforce Thunderbirds at their exhibition ( Clonan, 2007) . One of their demonstrations is to fly in a group high into the sky, and when they are at the top, they descend making a parabola like those of a roller coaster. As the Thunderbirds ascend and descend they discharge a smoke that demonstrates their flight path. I discovered this website show instances of parabolas, for example, satellite dishes and glimmer lights, at the base of the page they demonstrate an image of planes doing the flight path I portray above. The parabola Thunderbirds frame is like a rainbow too, not because of the shape but notably because the discharge of the smoke is in colors as well ( Graybiel, 1980) . I cannot think about the name that is given to the gymnastic demonstration, yet I have seen it at each aviation expo that I have been to and dependably thought it made a pretty shape. I trust my model is right since I can't help suspecting that when the planes go up, they achieve their greatest height and makes the curve like at the highest point of their flight before making a nice moderate descend. From what I was perusing the parabolas usually make a U shape however it tends to be found in reality the other way.
