In our daily activities, we encounter people who are living with disabilities. Disabilities among individuals are unique in individuals. Individuals suffer from disabilities such as blindness, hearing impairment, paralysis and speech impairments. People with disabilities usually play different roles in organizations. In the modern society, organizations employ people living with disabilities to participate in the daily tasks carried out by the organization. However, people living with disabilities have to be treated specially in these organizations. Discrimination against people living has highly been discouraged by the management of these organizations. Organizations have created policies that ensure that the rights of people living with disabilities are protected. Regulations placed by these organizations in work play a significant role in providing that people with disabilities have an equal say in decision making in organizations. The state has played a substantial role in the protection of rights with people living with disabilities by creating and implementation of policies which protect their rights.
In workplaces, we tend to socialize with people living with disabilities. The people living with disabilities have different impairments which need to be addressed differently. Individuals who have hearing impairments need to be treated differently. In relating to people with hearing impairments, lip reading, sign language and am plication devices play a significant role in the execution of duties. In workplaces, fan and lights and noises tend to affect people who are suffering from hearing impairments negatively. The management team always create adjustments to accommodate people with hearing disabilities for them to achieve company goals. People who have impaired hearing still face difficulty in communication when messages are disseminated verbally. Sign language should distribute messages or display the information on the screen to ensure that the signal reaches to these people. In my profession, we are required to understand the needs of people living with hearing disabilities and incorporate the best ways that can ensure execution of duties in workplaces.

In dealing with people who have sight disabilities, the issue may appear to be very difficult. In my line of profession, we get to interact with people who are blind or partially blind. In the society, we need to understand that these people locomote using their canes. Blind people tend to acquire information by speech. Most blind people tend to have sharp listening skills. Information is disseminated to them by sound. Blind people also communicate by use of braille language. Braille language is a tactile system of writing which information is embodied on a piece of paper. Braille language uses a system of dots to disseminate messages to blind people. Braille language is read by use of feeling the texture of the dots.
In other professions, professionals need to be equipped with the various skills of dealing with people living with disabilities. People with disabilities need to be handled with care. Professionals from different fields need to treat people with disabilities equally. People with disabilities should be given equal opportunities in organizations such as managerial roles.
