In the event of developing a vision, an individual can employ the technique of story-telling since it is mostly based on predictions and also imagination. “Vision as story-telling” is a technique where an individual can apply to develop a personal vision story. Within the technique, an individual can describe how he or she would like their life to be, several years from the present time. The technique is unique because it allows for great imagination since the technique entails developing a personal vision statement off story-telling. This paper aims at developing the writer’s vision statement based on the technique “Vision as story-telling.”
In five years, I will have completed my studies and probably be working my first or second job, depending on how good the first one would be. Based on my active participation in leadership forums, I expect to hold a leadership position in the organization I will work for in five years. In five years I will also have my consultancy firm, where I will be offering consulting services on how to start and sustain businesses. The world of business has many dynamics, which I plan to have carefully and skillfully established and mastered solutions to, to offer the best advice on matters businesses. I expect to put into practice most of what I died in business school towards improving the performance of your consultancy firm since it will be my business.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
In five years, I will also want to have my own family because it will give me a sense of responsibility that will enable me to focus on my career and business. In the next five years, I will also have achieved financial stability through careful planning and organization of all the finances. I believe that to achieve my five-year goal plan. I will have to exercise a lot of patience, determination and strategic leadership and discipline. Believe that with patience I will be able to appreciate the small milestones that my business will achieve in the five years to come. Great determination is required in my intended future business since it entails convincing people f the possibility of starting and sustaining a business. Therefore, my own business will have to be firmly founded on quality services and provision of feasible as and facts (Throop & Castellucci, 2004). Similarly, I will be able to see and learn how the business world works outside class and away from the concepts provided in books and business journals, thus the need for strategic leadership (Strand, 2014).
However, I will need to exercise more discipline the regards to my spending habits if my business is to be as stable as I want come five years from now. Therefore, I will need to exercise great discipline and proper management to avoid using money meant for the business. I will also need to change how indecisive I usually am because a business sometimes requires quick decisions, thus insufficient time for thinking of the best way to go about a particular thing (BEUMER, 2016). Therefore, since five years is a lot of time, I will have at least, perfected the skill of discipline and good decision making.
To achieve my five-year goal plan, I will practice more patience, save more than I spend, carefully conduct research on the business industry and how it works. I will also attend business summits, where I can get to learn the ways of improving the skills I learn in business school. Also, for the next year, I will actively develop a project to see its feasibility, thus establish whether I will be able to give people solid plans (Throop & Castellucci, 2004). Identifying my vision and goals will help me focus on the goals as well as improve the plan with time. The obstacles I might face include lack of enough capital to accomplish some of my goals as well as the possibility that I may have not as much time to prepare to attain my goals and accomplishments for the next five years.
