Creativity is part of a human life that is considered critical. It represents individuality, a platform where one can express themselves and encourages the development of the human life. In contemporary philosophy, creativity is not discussed much, and that is the aim of the philosophy of creativity to change the norm. The current researchers and scholars are now trying to link the two to show the relationship of the creativity and philosophy. The issues that seem to be brought about by the two subjects is the role played by consciousness during the creative process. Scholars would like to understand the role of audiences when it comes to the creation of art and how childhood pretending can affect the level of creativity or the presence of creativity in a child. Literature is a form of creativity that is seen, and it is the standard of creativity that gives insight into the human nature. There is the question of whether a computer program can be referred to as creative, is creativity a virtue? Creativity is also seen to be different in art and science. It can be taught, but it is yet to be proved whether it is possible in general or in philosophy (Miller, 1989).

Philosophy is seen to relate to the human aspects such as knowledge, consciousness, politics, virtue, justice, reason and art. Creativity, on the other hand, does not necessarily follow up the human aspects though it is part of the human life. It has managed to avoid the rational scrutiny of human issues, especially in the past. Creativity is seen to depict certain characteristics such as unconscious forces, divine, and irrational work but has not been critically analyzed. According to Miller, as much as creativity is paramount in the human life, it is not well defined in the philosophical aspect where it is still considered mysterious therefore making it difficult to relate to philosophy (Miller, 1989).
