For the smoothly running of business operations, organizations have developed policies and procedures that govern how things need to be done. Policies are made up of high-level principles and requirements that all functional departments must adhere to. Most policies are formulated and agreed upon by management and the executive team since they understand the organization's business vision. It is their mandate to oversee the said vision's realization (Hu et al., 2012). Therefore, policies act like the directional tone for all the business areas or departments. On the other hand, procedures are associated with specific policies and give well-defined action plans for conducting lower-level processes such as hiring and termination in the human resources department.
Policies and procedures are very instrumental to any organization. They present a strategic vision and control processes that will help control risks and avoid some mistakes. Therefore, to achieve such, organizations need to develop compliance and management systems for these policies and procedures (Benedek, 2012) . Compliance and management aim to detect and prevent organizational mistakes and crimes, reduce the damage that may arise from disputed issues on a corporate level, prevent the reoccurrence of previous errors, and improve business and operational processes.

Compliance and management policies may vary from one organization to the other. Although the state is considered the primary source of regulation because companies need to adhere to the state laws, compliance and management of policies can be referred to as an internal self-regulatory (Safaa et al., 2016). Such is because the state stipulated regulations for corporate operation cannot tackle an organization's micro processes. Therefore, organizations are forced to develop compliance and management systems that will lead to the business's success. Such can be done by writing down the organization's policies and procedures and ensuring that the employees have received them and have read and agreed to adhere. The delivery of such documents must be done in a convenient means that is comfortable to the employees.
