I agree that poverty is one of the factors that lower the life expectancy of an individual due to lack of survival requirements. The life expectancy of an individual is determined by the income they get and education levels. Education enables an individual to understand healthy lives, and the income ensures that all life requirements are provided as well as buy medical assistance when needed. Health conditions such as diabetes and heart diseases are very common among poor people due to lack of knowledge on how to manage the conditions. People with higher education have a longer life with two years in comparison to individuals with less education. The same situation is seen with the people with more income, where they are able to live longer due to affording anything, they require such as good education, healthy diet, high-quality medical attention, suitable housing and comfortable life.

Research indicates that the poor people are in constant flight or fight, and it is true as they have to struggle to get what they require or fear of lacking essential. There are public health policies which are established by the government to make sure that every person can access quality care despite their financial background. In that way, fear of falling ill is reduced and if other life stresses can be avoided, and the life of the poor people is increased (Thomson, Bambra, McNamara, Huijts, & Todd, 2016). The government is also intervening in education to make sure that primary and secondary education are accessible and also offering loans to students for university students. It is a way of empowering the poor to ensure that they have all they need to reduce poverty and improve their lives.
