Based on the problems experienced at my workplace on the process of hiring of hiring the applicants deemed fit for the sales job, I find it necessary to underscore the importance of carrying out proper scrutiny of the individuals being appointed in the sales department to help drive the firm to higher levels in the ever-changing and competitive market. The aspect of solving problems experienced by the automated system used in the hiring process can be prevented by ensuring that the new candidates undergo a clear and concise interview process where they are held responsible for the actions and activities deemed fit in the organization (Van Aken & Berends, 2018). There is the need for the managers undertaking the hiring process to ensure that problems in the sales team are not viewed as problems, but rather as opportunities that could be used in the line of growth in the sales team.
The initial step to help make a clear decision in the hiring process is to have a hiring team that is made up of problem solvers and the problem creators. It is a matter of having smart people in the sales team. There is no need for the managers to concentrate on the personalities and experience of the candidates alone, but instead take an overhaul on the capabilities of the candidate in question. The interviewer must ask the relevant questions to the interviewee that would enable them to realize that the potential candidate can think straight on their feet. The answers given by the respondents would provide the manner in which they are likely to interact with the potential customers and other stakeholders in the organization (Golden & Gajendran, 2018). The training process is also another important aspect that would be deemed essential in handling the hiring process. This gesture would help the management in ensuring that they have the right team of problem solvers in the entire group.
