Every consumer is usually met with the confusion of determining the quality of product from the assortment of products based on the minimal information that is readily available at the time, which is price and label of product. Owing to the fact that the buying habits of a consumer rely heavily on their spending habits and their familiarity with the product, evaluation is important in dealing with the confusion that may arise when a consumer has to determine the quality of a product, or a variety of products. Clorox control bleach crystals is produced by a highly reputable company, goes at good prices, and is therefore, a great cleaning agent, also in respect of its high quality.

Evaluation of quality can be done using price as a basis (Castleberry, 1986). A price-quality relationship has been used to determine the quality of a product, especially in cases where the consumer seems uncertain on the product. Clorox control bleach crystals goes for $4. This product can be considered to be expensive in comparison to other bleaching products. The objective reality and motivation of the consumer leads to a positive correlation between the price and the quality, where the consumer concludes that the price of a product is directly proportional to its quality (Shugan, 1984). It can also be considered superior to other products since it is the most commonly used product, hence the price is not of essence to the consumers.

Another basis for product evaluation is the company responsible for the manufacture of the product (Shugan, 1984). Clorox Control Bleach Crystals is manufactured by the Clorox Company, which is a global manufacturer of cleaning agents in addition to healthcare and food products. The company is well-known among consumers since the quality of its products can be considered to be higher than that of cleaning agents manufactured by other companies. Furthermore, company labels influence how customers perceive the quality of a product. Labels are a way of advertising the product since they provide information about the product, company (brand) name and a short explanation on why it may be superior to other products (Rigaux-Bricmont, 1982). Clorox control bleach has the name “Clorox” labelled across the control bleach bottle in large, white letters with blue background, bounded by red lines. These colors and design are a show that the product is of high quality since the company took time to design both the product and label, as a show of the company’s efforts at marketing a product which they believe will meet the quality needs of the consumer. Furthermore, the company has been known to hold ad campaigns for the Clorox brand to increase the consumption of the brand. This is also proof that the product is of high quality.

Trademark enhances the value of a product, especially in the food industry. A trademark for quality products cannot be linked to low-quality products. This helps to develop customer loyalty since a trademark for high quality goods ensures that they meet certain criteria before being passed on to the consumer. The trademark CLOROX ULTIMATECARE that is imprinted on the label of the product proves that it is of high quality since it has a variety of products that are also of high quality.

Based on its price, trademark and company that manufactures it, the Clorox control bleach product crystals can be said to be of highquality. Its high presence in the market is proof that it is on high demand, and this can be attributed to its high quality. It should thus be a top priority for consumers seeking cleaning agents.
