Concerns
The main concern that SSS, as a center for the disabled persons, may face is realigning the project’s mission to individual physical capabilities and abilities of its intended staff. There is a need to ensure that the business mission and objectives are not lost in the staff needs.
The project must also factor the reality of operating a business entity (in this case a bakery) that is different in every aspect. This means that the staff (disabled persons) must be able to offer similar or even better services, than those provided in a regular bakery. There must be a business edge, other than their disability, that appeals to their customer base.

Recommendations
Business Public Front
The business public “identity” must be purely based on quality other than the fact that it is a special-needs business entity. Therefore, this means that the identity of the business must reflect the “ability” rather than the “disability” of the staff working there. The staff must, therefore, be skilled and well-trained in the art of customer care and business-operation. The value of any business, to every customer, is in the quality of its services and products.
Maximum Utility
The bakery needs to operate at a minimal financial output while maximizing on the available operational costs. To do this, operational costs, such as baking, sales, and marketing must be done by the students/staff. This ensures that the business does not incur “un-necessary” running costs and thus can withstand changing market forces.
Professionalism
It is crucial that the running of the business be done so in a professional manner. This is primarily due to the physical inabilities that the staff may present as compared to a regular bakery. As such, the business plan must take into account the minute details of accounting, sales, marketing, and management. This ensures that the business sustains itself, as an entity, away from SSS individuality as a special needs nonprofit organization. It will allow the business to grow and be profitable, thus contributing to SSS’s mission of helping, serving, and supporting people with disabilities.
Marketing
It extremely crucial that the business succeeds. Therefore, there need be an intensive marketing campaign that will help propel, both the business and the product forward. Marketing can be done through advertisement, word of mouth, or even promotional excursions that utilize the disability aspect of the business. More so, the presentation or packaging of the product needs to be of high quality to attract the customers. It is crucial that packaging and product presentation be done professionally as an alternative marketing strategy.
