With a growing diverse population in the United States, the government is at loggerheads to provide quality health services to all the citizens. According to Jackson & Gracia (2014), the U.S healthcare system faces several disparities, including high healthcare costs, inequalities in access to care services, and insufficient healthcare workers that impact public health. Despite its high expenditure on healthcare, significant reforms have been undertaken to reshape the entire care system. Health promotion and prevention is a new area that continues to generate interest from researchers and health experts alike. Improving the country's health by 2030 will entail implementing several health recommendations to streamline the healthcare system. One health and illness recommendation will involve promoting communication and awareness programs that promote healthy living among the people. Secondly, health education should be instilled in schools early on the create an extensive knowledge-base. The last recommendation is implementing policies and laws that are geared towards fostering health promotion and disease prevention.

Undoubtedly, the healthcare system has undergone tremendous changes to improve service delivery, quality, and patient outcomes. The Health Care Reform has shifted the healthcare system from collapsing to one that is showing glimpses of hope, especially in reducing healthcare costs (Obama,2016). While these changes are promising, there is still much to do to improve the overall care system. Being part of the multidisciplinary team to drive the healthcare transformation, I would promote health promotion and prevention at the community level. It is imperative to understand what the changes required, and with the right skills, knowledge, and attitude, I would enforce the changes at the lowest level of the healthcare system. An evaluation from the community-based transformation would inform my conclusion and strategies moving forward. Moreover, I would advocate for better resource allocation and accountability among other health care professionals to ensure equitability is achieved. Through coordination and collaboration with other relevant authorities, I would ensure that equal access to care services is also prioritized.
