Such companies make money by sheltering detained children who are separated from their families because they are considered illegal immigrants. For example, Shelter Programs for Comprehensive Health Services ran a shelter and received approximately $300 million to run the programs. In the film, it is indicated that the company’s leadership includes a former White House chief who supported the policy of forcefully separating children from their families along the border.
