Good management, especially in the clinical arena, is aimed at providing quality services to the public that requires it. This should be done in an appropriate, equitable, efficient and sustainable manner as possible. However, for this to be achieved all the major sources in this field have to be assembled in a way that no inadequacy will cause inconvenience (Anderson, 2011). As a result, when it comes to the role of nurses in the clinical or rather healthcare delivery arena, there is a need for nurses to be at their hundred percent so as to contribute successfully in success in managing the clinical arena. The following illustration aims at establishing the impact of leadership in the intervention of the level of healthcare being provided. This is done by analyzing the roles of nursing leaders and other healthcare professionals involved. 

Patients have to be treated while observing their rights so that eventually they go home feeling satisfied with the treatment they got from a particular healthcare institution. For instance, confidentiality is a major factor that determines whether a patient's right has been violated or not, similarly, they need to be made aware of any possibly important information about their health that might be necessary.

Doctors are at the forefront of implementing good leadership practices that would see the current changes in the service to get redesigned (Anderson, 2011). However, there is a need for other leaders who are responsible either clinically or managerially for chipping in and assist the doctors with this particular aspect of developing healthcare delivery. Success for this specific participation of the above parties, including nurses, will only be realized if they go through with an inclusive approach. This means that their understanding of the system and their particular roles will play a huge role in determining whether their initiative will be effective eventually. 

Mentorship in nursing can also be a key determinant of the quality of services that are offered to patients in a healthcare institution (Agnew, 2005). This can be seen where more experienced nursing orient and facilitate young nurses to perform their roles appropriately. This includes a number of activities which are not limited to inspiring, coaching, educating and directing the young nurse when they are performing their roles in the institution. These are aimed at putting the senior nurse in a leadership position and hence enabling them to pass on their skills and tricks that will help the younger nurse perform their roles. 

Nursing leaders have been given the responsibility of integrating Advanced Practice Nursing in various healthcare settings (Carter et al., 2010). This is a continuous process which can only be realized through effective communication, negotiation and proper management of the professionals and the whole processes. This can be performed through various initiatives that will see the establishment of effective leadership strategies such as engaging stakeholders and increasing the awareness on the same topic. This will ensure that healthcare professionals, including nurses, are well prepared to use their leadership skills in providing quality healthcare to the public. 

A rising concern is on whether the current health professionals may be able to provide quality leadership since they may be ignorant of the matter. For one, content on leadership may be lacking and many other reasons that may make this impossible (Carter et al., 2010). This has led to the development of leadership development programs in various countries worldwide. Some have even gone ahead and developed education and professional development programs in clinical leadership that doctors, nurses and other health professionals are subjected to. 

However, even as most countries have realized the impact of good leadership on the quality of healthcare delivered, some barriers are experienced. These include poor communication networks amongst the staff which courses poor coordination, the lack of preparation for leadership roles on the staff and a lacking curriculum which is a major factor that is crippling the implementation of quality leadership in healthcare institutions. These are just some of the factors which are responsible for poor implementation of leadership and hence causing the quality of healthcare not to be of great quality as required. Another factor might also be that the professionals in the health institution may not be prepared mentally to use good leadership in shaping the clinical arena. This can be seen when they lack the initiative and may even not be confident enough when they are called upon to use their leadership capabilities to effect quality services in this scenario. 

In conclusion, most countries have realized the importance of leadership when it comes to healthcare delivery to the public. This has been seen where the International Council of Nurses has put in place a Global Nursing Leadership Institute. This is aimed at using leadership to deliver policies that are aimed at improving the quality of healthcare that is delivered to the public. Nursing leaders are given the main responsibility of ensuring that leadership is transferred to offering quality healthcare to the public. They do this through mentorship programs and providing a suitable environment that will see quality healthcare being provided to the public.
