In the recent past, history has come to be used to argue many political and social constructs that are there in America. Thereare many instances of historical statements and discoveries that have fomed the basis for the current debates that is seen in the world. The study will focus on some of the aspects that have come up in the recent developments regarding history and how they have shaped the current debates. 

In the discovery of Kennewick Man, there have emerged arguments and a great debate as to who owned the discovery of the skeleton. It has aroused many arguments about who should own the skeleton that was discovered. The argument that it is Indians who were considered as the first inhabitants of America was ignited by this discovery. The measurements of the skull are what triggered the arguments (PBS Newshour, 2001). The current standing on the first inhabitants of North America is that Native Indians were the first inhabitants of America. From the discovery of the Kennewick Man, this stand has been disputed. There was the strife to own the skull. Instead of being preserved, the skull was a basis for strife amongst five tribes who argued that they should be given the skull so that they can bury. The Umatilla tribe argued that the dead should not be disturbed because it could affect the social fabric of the society. These arguments have also been seen in historical discoveries, which have aroused debates and strife among the current inhabitants of the earth instead of being a source of data.

There has also been raging argument on the content that should be taught in history classes. The debate on what should be taught on history lessons has been seen to be taking shape in Oklahoma State House Representative about the need to have more pro-American studies (Lerner, 2015). There has been a simmering debate about the Advanced Placement U.S History, which is an optional course in high school, where there has been the call to have it have more American content. There has been the critical aspect which has been integrated in the framework where the American founding narrative has been analysed and assessed. The main objective has been that students should be taughted about how American history and policies have affected the rest of the world. 

History is the information about the past; it gives us an insight on how things used to be before revolution and before human being embraced technology. There are many changes that have taken place when you look at history and the present day (Kytle, & Blain, 2015). This is because human evolution has undergone revolutionary changes that have impacted in almost everything. Comparing the present with history, you find that everything has changed; there is minimal chance that how things were according to history are the same. The reason as to why there exist museums that take us through the past by drawings, artifacts and extinct items.

With the evidence on the relationship between human and chimpanzee from the DNA analysis, scientist have resorted to using Chimpanzee in various research on medical approaches, chimpanzee have been used to experiment many aspects that effect on human being. Therefore we can conclude that this is the history that has been on the light from way back when human being was discovered. Scientist will never lose hope in trying to prove that human and chimpanzee relate. They have used chimpanzee to carry out experiments that are intended to develop strategies to combat disease that affect human.

The article on ‘scientist dive into the political fray’ informs us on how science has evolved from way past. We find that it is through scientific research and finding that people get to know about the past (PBS Newshour, 2001). Scientific evolution has seen changes from the history in the sense that the 21st century form of science is purely political.it is clear that science is political because scientists are in control or the many things that impact either positive or negative on the lives of people (Lerner, 2015). The fact that scientists carry out research to determine the cause of something or how things came to be, is a clear indication that they control most of the scientific happenings. The article depicts that scientist have been neglected and they are not considered professions, they therefore have to fight for their rights through challenging the political ground. Scientist claim that it is their role to report on any matter that arise from the research, take for example the Ebola disease in Africa that was airborne, scientist are therefore behind the control of such disease, and it is their role to communicate to the government and people on the dangers resulting from diseases, therefore, they should be considered.

Evolution of human being is also another fact about history that has been changing over the decades, taking a look at the first stage of man, we find that history informs us that man evolved through a process of homo erectus and way towards homo sapiens sapiens. Recently from the articles on the ‘Kennewick man’, it is clear that that the DNA tests resemble that of American natives (PBS Newshour, 2001). This therefore proves that the human settlement began 8,500 years back. While history shades light on how man used to survive in the past through hunting and gathering, the present does not recognize such activities because there has been revolution that has resulted to changes.one of the revolutionary experience that people have undergone is that of technological changes that has resulted to changing the manner in which people operate. 

Technology resulted to innovation of many things that were not there in the past, to prove this, the skull that was found by the corps and examined, was under a controversy that the skeleton depicted characteristic that do not relate to the present tribe in America. The present is full of technological shift that has seen people embrace any form of technology (PBS Newshour, 2001). It is important to understand that technology has robbed the human skills and the ability to solve things through critical thinking. Take for example the use of computer to enhance work in organizations; this has resulted to people depending too much on the computers that they forget to think.

The article on ‘ take down the confederate flags, but not the monuments’ depicts the history behind the monument, the debate came in support for ‘black lives mater’ in America, whereby people were fighting for their rights. The issue is the fact that these monuments bears great history to the people of America, for example the history that resulted to the murder of the nine Black Americas.it is from the monuments that people get to reminisce the past and try to relate to the present day. Taking down the monument is a symbol of destroying history, the reason as to why people are against this move.

In the past years, people have been under the debate on whether to take down those artistic reflection that depicted racism and people cultures. The article on ‘should Philly take down its statute of Frank Rizzo’ the public arts depict racism that occurred in the past. The black lives matter regime was initiated with the intention of stopping al the racism that was taking place globally, especially in the U.S. The article therefore shades light on the past happening that are impacting on people in the present.
