Phoenix advertising is a company that mainly deals with marketing and advertising of products and services. The main headquarters is found in Charlotte, North Carolina. Their main clients include retail chains, banks, and insurance companies. The Roanoke branch is also significant to the overall performance of the enterprise. It is realized that it is not performing as expected with various problems identified. In the last three months, the management has experienced the leaving of two managers that include the art director and account executive. Four copywriters and three graphic designers have shown interest to quit the company. The main reason is that they feel ignored for their creative work is not considered or are being rejected. Consultation on any revision of the work is not taking place, and yet they desire teamwork. Alteration is mainly being done by the account executives and art directors. As seen, the problems are not very complex, and it is possible to rectify and return the Roanoke branch to its desired performance. An investigation is to take place to identify the primary cause of the mentioned problems with a desire to come up with ways to solve them (Wardrope, 2002).
The best approach in carrying out the investigation is conducting interviews. Interviews will include four employees from the graphics and design departments. The four will include the head of the graphics department. Six employees will be from the executive account department. The group of ten will also answer questionnaires to tackle some issues anonymously. From the results attained, analyzation will take place and report done on suggestions to solve and prevent the problems (Wardrope, 2002).

During interviews, there is a problem that was identified in the branch. Lack of proper leader was one of the problems as seen, art director and account executive quit and that leads to a gap in the branch leadership. The two managers quit because they felt they were not up to the task. Their leadership is characterized by poor content in advertisement, and therefore the pressure was too much. Such managers then did not provide the proper and desired leadership that would in hand lead to quality production (Wardrope, 2002). Through the questionnaires, one was able to identify lack of proper communication as the main problem in the branch. There is poor communication between the managers, graphic designers, and copywriters. Graphic designers and copywriters are coming up with good content and present them to the managers. The managers are then altering the work on rejecting it without any communication. It in hand makes the employees feel rejected and unappreciated for their talent. It then impacts them negatively and hence the threat to quit their jobs (Wardrope, 2002).
Lastly is analyzation of information from both interviews and questionnaires is done. A report is written giving proper outline of the problems faced in the branch and the main cause. In the case off Roanke branch, the main problems is poor leadership and lack of communication. Poor leadership is caused by lack of proper managers who are willing to work as a team with graphic designers and copywriters. Lack of communication is caused by lack of transmission of information across the department from the managers (Wardrope, 2002).
There are recommendations that may be used to help solve the problem of leadership and communication. In leadership, it is advisable that the company employs managers that are ready to work with their juniors as a team. They should be in a position to work as a team with graphic designers and copywriters for they are the source of creativity. Once that takes place the graphic designers and copywriters will feel involved and team work will be easy. Lack of communication will be solved through proper channels and platforms such as report writing. Once content is created it is advisable for the manager to write a report on the work while suggesting the changes that need to be done. Consultation between managers and designers will ensure smooth and efficient execution of duties. Communication in this case was lacking across the departments with lack of reporting on the view managers had on the content (Wardrope, 2002). On the other hand the graphic designers and copywriters were not impressed with the way the managers altered or rejected their content and creativity without consultation. Consultation in the company is critical for it gives a platform for feedback to be presented and each party involved will be included in the decision making process. It is therefore recommended that each of the parties involved in content creation to the end product be involved and communication to take place between them for they play a critical part in the company (Wardrope, 2002).
Lastly, motivation is also a critical factor in the Roanke branch, it is seen that two critical managers just quit while graphic designers and copywriters threaten to quit. In order to avoid such a scenario, it is advisable that such paramount employees are motivated. A motivated employee is always happy and pleased with their work despite the challenges faced (Wardrope, 2002). Once they are happy they will ensure that they perform their duties accordingly by readily working as a team to achieve the company’s vision and mission. Through application of the above discussed recommendation, Roanke branch of the Phoenix Advertising Company will begin to perform accordingly and it will be reflected in the overall company performance depicted.
