Positive outcomes
The self-determination initiative by RWJF has bored positive fruits in many states. It was founded with the aim of giving people with disabilities as well as their families a voice on the quality of service they receive. The above initiative has had a positive impact regarding how their power to choose has changed. In New Hampshire, one of the states in which the initiative was implemented, there was a significant shift of power from the working class to individuals with disabilities (Conroy et al. , 2002).
In its initiative to develop leadership skills among professionals from different states in the US, RWJF, in the previous years has trained fellows from states such as Ohio, New York, North Carolina and Kansas. Since the fellows represented different organization, the impact on their leadership skills has spread far and wide in the states mentioned above
Next step
One of the future undertakings said, which has already been implemented is the elevate publication resource. This is a publication that helps different individuals to learn about different dimensions that pertain health care. The above is aimed at improving performance among members and other relevant stakeholders. Besides, the desire to strategize more to ensure positive outcomes is a plausible plan as it is likely to help RWJF future programs yield desired fruits.
