The academic and continuous education programs will be revised continuously to make sure that are aligned with the updated information to ensure that the nurses are aware of how to apply evidence when providing medical attention which will ensure quality improvement.

The nurse educator has to act as a role model by first consulting the different providers before making any decisions. That will assist in making the right decision since different providers will have various opinions that can be considered in improving quality.

How Ethical Decision Making Is Utilized In Quality Improvement

The healthcare providers are supposed to make ethical decisions to ensure the best interests of the patients are achieved. The main aim of nurses is ensuring that their patients are satisfied by being provided with the best services and their medical issues addressed. The nurses have to learn about their patient's background so that they can integrate holistic care as well as ensure that the cultural beliefs of the patients are considered in medical attention ( Selby & Krumholz, 2013) . A patient is more comfortable with a nurse who understands them and makes medical decisions by considering what the patient wants. In ethical decision making, the nurse has to consult the patients on the best medical direction to take. It starts by describing the health issues to ensure that the patient understands the risks and benefits of different treatments. The patient should then choose the best method depending on their cultural beliefs and cost. In that way, quality healthcare services are provided

How Leadership among APN Is Vital To Quality Improvement

The leadership of the advanced practice nurse is essential in the improvement of quality. Research shows that when the APN nurses are placed on emergency and critical care settings, they are able to achieve higher quality care, patient satisfaction, and overall clinical outcome. These nurses are equipped with advanced practice knowledge and skills which means they are able to make evidence-based decisions when taking care of the nurses’ evidence-based practice is associated with quality improvements since only the best practices are used and services provided to the patients thus ensuring their satisfaction (Woo, Lee, & San Tam, 2017). The APN nurses are also equipped with knowledge on different domains, which means their leadership can be used in different places, thus ensuring the best services provided to the patients. The leaders are also able to choose the best continuous education programs to be provided to the nurses to make sure that they are equipped for quality improvement.

Strong Leadership Quotes

“ The small and unique innovations in daily care and the more systematic nurse and nurse leader responsibility of proactive innovation that is needed to change care that is no longer effective or care that violates and endangers patient safety” ( Bondas, 2018).

“ Administration sites as an organizational intervention with three key design elements: (a) fostering interdisciplinary quality improvement leadership, (b) establishing a structured quality improvement process, and (c) facilitating organizationally aligned frontline quality improvement innovation” (Stockdale, Zuchowski, Rubenstein, Sapir, Yano, Altman, & Hamilton, 2018).
