It was on Saturday morning that the business ethic class visited Ronald McDonald House Charities. The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is a nonprofit organization based in America. Its mission is to find, support and create programs regarding the improvement of well-being and health of children. The organization is represented in 42 countries with 366 houses. The Ronald McDonald House provides shelter for affected families with their hospitalized children- below ages of 18 or 21 years. It offers families with private bedrooms, nice meals, and children's playrooms. Other services provided in the House are recreational activities, education programs, non-clinical and sibling help services. In the long run, families stay in the House can pay $25 every day or no costs are incurred.
The organization has 50 care mobiles in different countries. The mobile clinics help the families in a significant way as the sick children are treated. Many children have been served with better services, making many families relieve the U.S $10 million every year in both dental and medical costs. Also, the organization has learning programs that help ill children get to school again. The program helps effectively because of the therapy, tuition and the assessments offered to the children. Families affected are therefore assisted concerning expenses on both tertiary and vocational education in the future as their seriously sick children are paid for through scholarship yearly.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
During the experience in the organization, all of us shared gifts with families that were present on that day. I had a great time supporting where I could. I helped in sweeping the floors of where the families had occupied. Some volunteered to paint the walls while others trimmed the hedge. Nonetheless, while some of my classmates were listening to the stories and conversing with the families, some of us including me, helped set up the big Christmas tree that proved to be challenging. I helped fix all the twinkling lights of the Christmas tree too. The families cheered as the lights of the tree were switched on. We shared with the families what we had for them and brought a smile to their faces. The day was a success to all of us as the whole class worked and bound together with both the parents and their sick children.
