After watching the speech delivered by the Secretary of Education on television, I realized that the speaker had all that was needed to deliver an effective, exciting, and inspiring speech. This is because on several occasions during this speech, the speaker looked for various reactions from the audience, especially in regards to the important points he talked about. Most people in this audience nodded their head as a result of processing the points that were being spoken. It, therefore, lead the audience to feeling that the speaker genuinely connected with them in addition to caring about their reactions.
Additionally, the speaker also appeared to be competent and prepared for the speech as he had memorized his speech well by remembering the important points he wanted to deliver. It is because he tried so much not in forgetting the message he wanted to pass across, and this helped in interacting with the audience more effectively. Also, the speaker appeared to be more comfortable with the stage and the audience as he used different stage positions including right, center and left in emphasizing on the crucial elements he wanted his audience to keep on remembering.
