Increased access to appropriate foods will help JK maintain a healthy and positive attitude considering her diabetic condition. JK’s community falls under vulnerable groups and according to White (2017, p. 4), they need social support to help them cope and recover from diseases, disasters, or social challenges. In JK’s case, a realistic budget will entail relevant food portions that include water and fruits that fit her diabetic disease. She will need approximately $50 for food on a modest cost plan per day. She will also need supplements such as Vitamin B-1, Chromium, and Cinnamon and will depend on any current medication she will be using. The supplements, together with her medication, will be used to help her manage her blood glucose levels.

The primary route to follow will pass through significant shopping locations such as Woodridge 75th Street, Woodward Avenue, through to 87th Street to the outskirts of Black Partridge Forest. The central shopping location is close to Cargill Food Distribution. The route and site are best accessed in the afternoon when traffic is light.
JK’s Community
JK’s community is densely populated, with the majority aged 50 years and above. There are approximately 13,500 people as compared to my community, with only 7,000 majorities are farmers. A nurse has the primary role of identifying the main significant features of a population to ascertain its health requirements and urgent social needs (Xue & Intrator, 2016, p. 26). In JK’s population, the living standard is average, with most people living impoverished lives. Many depend on food stamps and aid as compared to my community that has well-endowed families. The majority of support services found in JK’s neighborhood include accommodations, environmental adaptations, and natural supports. My community mainly has physical, mentoring, and occupational therapy services.
